No Buying Unneccesary Toiletries April 2016

I'm afraid I have 3 ins to declare from a visit to TKMaxx - thankfully I didn't go too mad.
- I bought myself two Super Facialist Retinol+ creams for day and night (£7.99 each). I had seen it in Boots for £9.99 and I really like this product line so thought I would get these as they seemed a reasonable price (haven't seen cheaper elsewhere).
- I also bought a mini bottle of Korres Hair Conditioner for £1.49- just wanted to see how good a product it is and if a larger bottle would be worth buying.

I have a box full of INs since January and I'm thinking of counting them soon. It might stop me accumulating by picking up bargains everywhere :O. I'm not brave enough to do that yet though - will try and get through some of it first. Still addicted but at least starting to make informed choices about what I buy. I try and buy only things that I know I will eventually use and wouldn't take a long time to use up.

Don't beat yourself up Lucia. I've been following this challenge for years but still find myself wanting a "treat" each month. Like you though I make better choices and am getting better at not buying multiples of items already in stash.

That being said the Birchbox arrived on Saturday. I am pretty underwhelmed this month. INs:-

Benefit They're Real mascara. Think Benefit will be giving this away with cornflakes next. May try and eBay it. On the plus side though am now enjoying the Maybelline Falsies mascara now that it is drying out a little.

Cynthia Rowley eyeliner. Not sure whether to eBay this either.

Nuxe Huile Prodigeuse oil. Seems nice. Emma has nabbed this.

Parlour detangling leave in conditioner. We only got a detangler a couple of months ago. I'll think about keeping this when I've upUUed the Clynol one, if I ever do.

Kuroshi foot care cream. Applied this to MRM,s feet and he's very impressed.

Repainted my nails last night. Have decided that I'm going to use Dear Diary as a base coat as its too streaky to wear alone. Have applied this with OPI Did You Ear About Van Gogh on top. Haven't worn this colour for a long time however am really liking it.

Hopefully, a couple of items will be UUed this week. Have my PCMC tube cut open and a couple of hair conditioners that are feeling light. Have repurposed one for shaving.

Spent a long time yesterday helping to tidy Emma's bedroom is starting to declutter. Have a mountain of CDs and DVDs to sell.

Two UUs:

Neals Yard Arnica and Seaweed bubble bath- WBA I love this stuff, it's great for aches and pains I get from work and a bottle goes a long way bubblewise, which is just as well as it's certainly not cheap.

Lush Mask of Magnaminty - HG product for me - really sorts my skin out. I have a tube of cheaper avon mask I will use up before I replace it though. Also, this tub got me to my five empty lush tubs so will be able to get a fresh mask for free next time. The challenge will be waiting patiently, using up the boring avon mask before I get a new one.

The cupboard is looking a good deal barer in the bathroom and I've realised there is a category I forgot to add before. Sun tan lotion. I've got three bottles and with no holidays abroad planned it seems unlikely I'll use all that before it is useless. I might start using it as ordinary body moisturiser when I run out of that category.

Have managed to use up the bag of cotton balls I had which seemed to last forever while using my cream cleanser and toner this morning.

Can now move on to the first pack of cotton pads I bought years ago! :rotfl:

Superdrug pro care sensitive mouthwash- WBA HG does the job well and doesn't taste unpleasant.

Aveeno body lotion 10ml sample sachet- WMBA the scent is love or hate I think, I'm not sure if I like it but it's not unpleasant. It did rub in really well. Not sure if I'll buy a full size as plenty in stash. It does do a good job though (although my skin is not particularly dry). My brother has this on prescription as he has eczema so it is really good for people with skin conditions (dry/itchy) and it works well for him.

Aromatherapy Associates De Stress Mind Bath Oil 7.5ml - WNBA, I am over these oils, they smell nice but that is it and they are very expensive. I have more of them in the stash to use and will enjoy using them but when they are gone that will be me done with them.

Body Shop Ginger Sparkle Body Butter - this was really lovely, a sort of ginger beer scent rather than gingerbread. WBA

Saying that, the pack of cotton balls did have a manufactured on AND expiry date on them! :huh: but then they were fair trade or organic, can't remember which.

I can't find one on this pack of cotton pads I opened today tho, but they should be used up at a 'normal' rate as I'm trying to make a conscious effort to keep up with daily hygiene tasks

@VALM - Thanks. That's really kind. I do like the odd treat and it's nice to live a little sometimes. When I get myself a beauty treat it's a wee pick up for me and I always get it offer.

I finally took advantage of the Soap & Glory clearance in Boots and got myself an Endless Glove Hand Cream for £2.25 today. I am pleased I didn't purchase the shower gel though it was very tempting - I always find shower gels the hardest products to use up quickly. I'm near the end of my Lush 100g one and it's lasted about a month so far.
