Thanks for all of the kind words about my hen weekend! We went to Lisbon :j:j We got back Monday evening and I've pretty much slept ever since. Work has been a bit of a shock today :rotfl: Had an amazing time though

Well done BirdNerdSophie on your new job :D

Ooo you've both made me so excited now VALM and littlemissbossy, I'll be seeing Muse in Glastonbury and I am overly excited!! I'm just praying they don't do a Foo Fighters!!

And onto toiletries... a UU of a toothpaste over the weekend and one in the house this morning. Chris left all of his toiletries in Warsaw (where he went for his stag over the weekend) so they're all gone as well!

Joined two new survey's this morning. One for S&J Camomile Fresh Micellar Cleansing Water and the other for VL Body Blur. I'll report back once I've received and used them.

We were lucky enough to see the Foo Fighters last year before Dave Grohl's accident. My daughter is seeing Muse at Benicassim too.

A few UU for me:

Boots Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Exfoliating Face Scrub 150ml- Had this for a while and went through a phase when I used tonnes of it up as I was exfoliating more regularly. I've since cut back to once a week so it took a bit of time to use the remainder. WMBA. This did the job but I'm just as happy with a Morrisons own brand one.

Head & Shoulders Itchy Scalp Care Conditioner/balsam 200ml
- WDBA as this was a pretty good quality condtioner for my thick hair. I've also used this before as a shampoo.

Update on PP list

Boots Extracts Spiced Apple Body Butter 50ml - Used up about a third to a half of it this morning
Aveeno Daily Moisturising Lotion 10ml sample - Just a slither of it left, will use up tomorrow
Montagne Jeunesse Dead Sea Mud Pac 20g - 1 use left, will use up at weekend
Nivea Visage Daily Essentials Extra Gentle Eye Make-up Remover 125ml - 1 or 2 uses left so hope to finish this week.
M&S Poppy Hand Cream 30ml - 1 or 2 uses left, I hope to finish this tomorrow.

Had a bath this evening, UU a couple things:

Lush magic wand re usable bubble bar - WBA if part of next Christmas range. This did me 4 baths with a good amount of bubbles. I finished what was left with a bit of pink fun and the remains of a shower gel that had lost its fragrance. It smells just like snow fairy and turns the water pale pink. Liked this, and I think it was good value for money as it did 4 baths and would probably do more (I'm quite generous!)

Luksja butterfly lily & Amber shower gel 250ml- Wnba this hadn't been in stash hugely long, possibly 12 months, if that, and had nearly lost its fragrance (and what there was, it smelled not very nice!!) I've had shower gels as old as 5 years that were still completely fine so I was a bit annoyed by this. I'm not sure if this is an imperial leather rip off or the version of this from another country (like walkers crisps are to lays crisps). Hated what it still smelled of, I couldn't bear to use it in shower but didn't want to waste 250ml either so I used it in the bath to create extra bubbles. Which it did do. Not going to waste my pennies on this again though. Either way, I've got discontinued imperial leather gels that still smell perfect, so will definitely choose to spend 30p extra and get an imperial leather one on offer next time (although by the size of shower gel stash this won't be for another 20 years).

I also used 1/2 bar of lush pink fun, but I'll declare that as an out when the whole thing is gone. Going to add it to pp list to remind me to get it used. There was a discoloured bit on it and as its already a month out of date, don't want it to go funny. I've heard lush fun bars can go funny/turn to liquid quite quickly.

Sensodyne complete protection toothpaste- WBA even though I swear sensodyne never lasts as long as normal toothpastes. For me it's worth the money for the relief it gives from tooth pain as I have sensitive teeth. I cry when I pay for it but my teeth are thanking me. This one tastes pleasant and did the job brilliantly. Not had any pain whilst using it. Replaced with another sensodyne one (repair & protect daily) which annoyingly I don't like the taste of so much (although my taste buds are off due to my cold so it could be that).

I also have 3 ins that are NBIs that mum gave me tonight, which she said was to cheer me up. She knows something as simple as a new shower gel can make my day, sad really :rotfl:

In:

Dove peony & sweet cream body wash 250ml
Garnier ultimate blends delicate soother shampoo
Garnier ultimate blends delicate soother conditioner

The dove smells beautiful, as soon as the rubbishy coconut one I'm currently trying to UU is gone, I think I will be using this. I should be using the oldest ones first, but this just smells too lovely!! Not trying to enable, but it's the new dove scent I think. I just want the matching soap bar now too (but again this is an area of stash I shouldn't be adding to, and I bought another 3 just yesterday). Think I am going to be on the naughty step for eternity!!

Chucked a couple of bits into my work sleep in bag ready for next week, whilst I remembered, to replace what I UU last week. Put in one of the TBS 60ml aloe toners that arrived today and a half used palmers cocoa butter with rose hip moisturising oil spray. I never reach for the palmers spray normally (I usually use the spray ones in summer or TBS sorbets and tend to reach more for my Vaseline aloe spray lotion). So hopefully this will get the palmers one gone and not sitting on my window sill.

Oh and I treated myself to a 500g lush Prince Charming shower cream off eBay as I missed it in store. Will declare when it comes. Shower stuff is definitely one of my biggest weaknesses. Used to be body butters, now it's shower gels. Help.

Morning all
Another UU, a bar of pears soap. I will need to buy more soap as we only have one bar left in the stash. Would love to get down on the liquid soap as that seems to be hanging around for ages.
Think I may have to ta my mascara if I have another in the stash - it is one from a big gift box type set of makeup and the packaging feels a bit basic, anyhow the screw threw on the mascara tipi be just clicks round forever and doesn't actually stop then last night the wand fell off the holder part of the lid and I have to get my fingers dirty now to ram it back in so if I have another it's going.
It is however a good way to get through the liquid soap stash lol

Ah super duper jealous! I've seen them a few times but was still super disapointed, especially when they didn't give a new headliner and just bumped Florence up!

Seems like me and your daughter have the same taste in music!

• Just put some decorative sand into these 2 jars with handles that I had and going to go through my brand new unused makeup brushes, give them all a wash and put them into the jars. Bigger, fluffier brushes in one jar and the smaller ones in the other, with my only kabuki brush and my beauty blender being put on the tray that the jars are on :)

Thanks to the members who answered my question about what counts as INS. (Sorry for the delay, I'm not often on forum.)

I'm not counting any regularly used item - even a stockup on them, as INS. Come to think of it, I haven't really stashed any unnecessary toiletries for several years now. I've bought lots in Boxing Day sales to use up over the next year or so, but that was planning to meet needs. I do have a rule that I'm not to buy a better product whilst I'm still using up a dud one, so I'm in the process of finishing up a bunch of junk!!! :(

Make up has been a different story over the years though and I'd hoarded quite a collection. Got rid of stacks over the last 18 months through sales, giveaways to friends, binning expired stuff and even managing to use some up. I've been on a 'no buy' for well over a year now and only bought one replacement product when I ran right out. I've also managed to use up 16 perfumery items in the same time. Some were just odds and ends, minis, samples and those solid scents Yves Rocher used to do and that I had matching bottles - used up 2 in one go. :D

I'm expecting mum to offload a stack of her unwanted stuff on me soon, so I'll have some stuff in, but no money wasted.

I have quite a 'will try this in the future' list though....:p
Elizabeth :)
Long-term No Buys: print books, make-up, art/craft items
