As I left the room I muttered that I was 'off to check if the child benefit had arrived' and he called after me in a confused tone ' what the heck is the child elephant?' I don't know either....

:rotfl: I recommend a free NHS audiology appointment.

    :hello:
Well it's been a quiet day really. Not much happening all in all, and I've only ventured out to take dd to cheerleading.
Ally, pleased that you're home and hope that you're being waited on hand and foot and that the house will still be sparkling once you're up and about a bit. :p;)
LaE dh had looked into getting me a fitbit in my favourite colour (teal in case you couldn't guess :p) but earliest available delivery is 6 April so I have the option to change my mind and get the one from your dh if he's still selling... I don't know how bothered I am about teal for an extra £20 - the brat in me wants the teal one, and the sensible me wants to save the £20 as we're so skint :o:o:o

    [STRIKE]_party_ check banking and PAD[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]_party_ finalise March budget and get April's on the go[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]_party_ minimal housework[/STRIKE] hoover, wash up, wash bedding
_party_ ring Sky and haggle for a cheaper deal (DH pays this but I haven't called them for a while) forgot to do this, on tomorrow's list
[STRIKE]_party_ swagbucks as I'm determined to get this voucher[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]_party_ no heating if possible[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]_party_ load of washing[/STRIKE]
_party_ perhaps go out for lunch (I have a load of vouchers from various places) got lunch delivered in which was cheap and meant I didn't have to do anything :o
[STRIKE]_party_ contact bestie and arrange a get together[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]_party_ get dh to fill his holiday forms in[/STRIKE] he'd better have handed them in:mad:
[STRIKE]_party_ nap if I need to (now I am approaching the end of my 30s)[/STRIKE] 2 hour nanna nap on the sofa :o:o
    [STRIKE]_party_ try and relax[/STRIKE]
Have a good day everyone

Foxgloves - I'm honestly not too worried about getting older. I always thought age was a state of mind and I wish I had the wisdom I have now with the carefree attitude I had 15 years ago. Just 40 seems like a huge grown up number and I don't feel like a grown up at all.:D

The best ever misheard of all time goes to DS. I was running about as I do and rushing to get on the computer before DD kicked off again. As I left the room I muttered that I was 'off to check if the child benefit had arrived' and he called after me in a confused tone ' what the heck is the child elephant?' I don't know either....

I love kids... My ds was in the sitting room with me the other night while I was watching EastEnders. He was on his tablet and half listening to it - someone was talking about Phil Mitchell, and said 'Well he's addicted' - and ds pipes up 'Yes, he is a d*ck head':rotfl:

Jonno, I've had a similar problem with a replaced filling in the past and did end up having it replaced and I guess I was lucky that the replacement felt so much better but its a 50 -50 thing I was told.
Re change in user name, I don't think you can, last year I wanted to change user name and the only way I found was to register under a new email address.
Sorry to hear you've been having a rough week.

Thank Legomum I might have the patch done and see how it goes, I guess I have until July if I did want it done.

Ally thanks as ever for the link, have e mailed them. I did search the site but was obviously looking in the wrong place :o

  • Glad you are healing Ally....rest up for longer than you think you need to!
CCL - sorry our names are so similar! From Allys link it looks like I can't even change it :) But Happy, Happy Birthday
I had a strange day but no spends, back to my main place of work having been away and off for a while. Was great to see old friends briefly. Some disconcerting news about the future though, lots of change ahead. Missed lunch, but bfast and dinner from stores. No spends anywhere.
Lots of paperwork linked to getting my SOA in order has arrived, as has the mortgage offer. Starting to get my house in order!
Thanks for the kind thoughts all, its not an acute problem, just going to involve lots of visits and was shocked at the parking costs on site!
