    Morning All!

    How you all today?

Payday yesterday :) Did my YNAB last night too. I can pay off our first credit card in full today. £626 left on the balance. £500 off the natwest card and £170 off the Barclaycard. That's £1296 paid off the debt this month! It's such a huge amount of money

Had a bit of a breakdown in the car yesterday with the OH. It's very frustrating paying off debt and seeing no improvement. Just need to keep chipping away. One CC paid off this month, in May the 2nd one will be cleared. Just keep thinking forward.

I now have £600 in my 'rainy day' savings. This is to include: Car insurance £50; heating oil £210; car repairs £210; and birthdays/christmas £130. Very pleased with myself, as these have been accumulating for some months now. A budget (YNAB) really does work with these things! :)

Lovely day out. Off to get some sunshine! :)

    Morning all
Woken by a cat at quarter to six and completely unable to get back to sleep afterwards. Hmph. I was planning a long lie in this morning with the kids waiting on me hand and foot as it's my birthday - but I'm downstairs, on my own (apart from a couple of cats), snuggled under the blankets because it's freezing, cup of tea and MSE/TV all to myself. Not too many plans for the day ahead other than to fret about getting old. :p :bdaycake:
Ally - hope that all goes well at hospital today.
CrazyLAdy - hope things are as ok as can be...
Right, it is payday so doubly happy today, and plans go on as usual:
    _party_ check banking and PAD
_party_ finalise March budget and get April's on the go
    _party_ minimal housework
_party_ ring Sky and haggle for a cheaper deal (DH pays this but I haven't called them for a while)
_party_ swagbucks as I'm determined to get this voucher
    _party_ no heating if possible
    _party_ load of washing
_party_ perhaps go out for lunch (I have a load of vouchers from various places)
_party_ contact bestie and arrange a get together
_party_ get dh to fill his holiday forms in
_party_ nap if I need to (now I am approaching the end of my 30s)
    _party_ try and relax
Have a good day everyone

    Happy birthday Cat!!

It's too much for my sleep deprived brain clearly but on first read I thought you were wishing yourself a good day until I remembered there was another Crazy Lady on here!

    Hi March Money-Watchers,

    Just a quickie.

Debt Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Month Ten:

    * Looked up cost of new washing machine drum spider. £20-£50. So if it is that it shouldn't break the bank.

    * Continue with quick hand-washing of clothing and drip drying over the bath. It's pouring hard so clothing won't make the line.

    * Off to hospital in about an hour. Hoping to be in and out quite quickly if all goes smoothly. The procedure is usually done under general anaesthetic but I'm having it done under local to hasten recovery time. It's bad enough I've had to take a day's holiday from work for it. Luckily the hospital is nearby and the parking is free.

    What you all planning?

Good luck today Ally. Hope hospital will be as good as it can be.

    Happy Birthday Cat :bdaycake:

Managed to read the last couple of days but not had energy to post. Hopefully worst if the work week is over but still two days to go so we'll see, home today so might actually be able to get something done.

    Today will mainly look like:
Dentist for DD and I, will free park in town and maybe get a couple of bits from market just some raspberries and grapefruit.
Washing drying outside, lovely day, may try and squeeze another load on done, must get in before it gets too cold
Meals from stores left over roast pork sarnie for us all at lunch, find something for tea too
Hair cut for me this afternoon, have a voucher that I had for my birthday last year to use, think the balance will be 50p :rotfl: as I haven't had it cut for 15 months, I don't think it's an extravagance :onope - they had me booked in for Saturday, not today :( looks like it will be 16 months before its cut :rotfl:
Last day before payday, final banking check and update sheet. Am very happy have been able to pay £800 off debt this month, ahead of target so am pleased :D
List a couple more items on fleabay, am back in the swing, sold somethings to a best offer yesterday for the first time, every day is a school day :pdo tonight

Think that's about all for now, will check back later :)

Not so bad so far - although annoying wasted trip to hairdressers and dentist annoyed me. Last summer I had two fillings replaced. They were different to the previous ones I had and have never been quite right. Dentist today said that was 'normal' (don't know why when previous ones weren't like it!) but he could replace them for free (as they are less than a year old), but couldn't say same issue wouldn't happen again. One of them has now broken at the edge so needs minor repairing anyway. Normally in life if I was offered a free replacement, I'd jump at the chance :rotfl:, however, I have a quite serious phobia of needles in mouths (so much so that I had one of these done without anesthetic ) Don't know if I should just 'man-up' or let him do the simple repair and live with the others as they are....

Sorry that turned out to be quite long :o

An a separate note, anyone know if you can change your user name on here?

Hope you're getting rest Ally :)

Well. I have just put my first load of washing on the line this year. It's sunny and blowy so it may dry by the end of the day.

Tommorow the central heating is going off and will not go back on till October at the earliest. This will save us around £60 a month perfect for debt slaying.

Have done the bank account shuffle (like the truffle shuffle but I don't have to pull my shirt up) goonies reference for you fans out there ;)

The best ever misheard of all time goes to DS. I was running about as I do and rushing to get on the computer before DD kicked off again. As I left the room I muttered that I was 'off to check if the child benefit had arrived' and he called after me in a confused tone ' what the heck is the child elephant?' I don't know either....

    Back later Bob
