redruby I hope the lady gets the help she needs. That was me (without the fire) less than 12 months ago. Thankfully I did get the help and with the support of DH and others I have turned my life around.

Hester As always, you tire me out just reading. Glad you managed to get everything done yesterday without meeting yourself coming back.

Have a great day everyone. I need to potter in the garden. I bought a load of vegetable plants yesterday (free with zillions of nectar points) I need to get the greenhouse up and all the trays scrubbed and prepped although it will be a month or so before they leave the warmth of our passageway.

Thinking of Gers and Judi and hoping things go as well as possible in the circumstances.

Lovely bright morning here and builder managed to get the missing screws from I**a so is finishing off the large set of sliding wardrobes. The delivery yesterday was only of the wall fire and lights for the living room and I am hoping the missing two lights for my bedroom will arrive today. The electrician has been put off (yet again) till tomorrow in the hope that everything will have arrived.

I got chatting to a couple of neighbours and found out that the living room (which is quite small) used to be the kitchen!!!! That explains a lot. DDs seem to have caught my cough and cold and I feel very guilty but am starting to feel a bit better myself after spluttering and sneezing for a week. Suggested dd rubbed vapour rub on soles of her feet and then put on thick socks overnight to see if that helped.

We had a lovely time over the weekend and the in laws could not have been more welcoming or attentive. Seems strange to be back in a bit of a building site but it will be worth it in the end. Even the newly plastered walls in the bedroom and living room look better than the wallpaper that was up before. I am hoping that a modern neutral carpet and modern light fittings with lots of glass, a modern fire in living room and then nicely painted will make the place feel more like home. The look on dd's face when she came over for a couple of days, ran a bath with lots of bubbles - then found the bath plug did not fit properly and it was going stright down the plughole and would not fill - was a picture.

She was even less impressed when the only shower stopped working and I had to get someone out to fix the circuit etc.

Things very difficult at Candlelight Towers at the moment, Himself is very poorly, another medical appointment at 6.30 tonight, I hope we have some ansswers.

Morning everyone. It's been a very long time since I've been on here.

OS targets today:
Making jam and marmalade using the tins of MaMade rediscovered over Easter
Attacking some mouldy grout in the bathroom
Getting the washing outside to dry in this sunshine while it lasts
Finishing the no-pattern tank top knitted from 3 balls of Poundland wool
