If expanding choice the VAG group Citi options need to be on the list
If only looking for 5-8 years I would look at the next group up for a bit more toys and comfort.
For total cost over a few years low mileage years tax and fuel extra won't be that much over depreciation.0 -
The last comment was not overly polite.
It's a free country and people are free to post what they want.
As long as it isn't abusive.
Exactly, I haven't been abusive, pretty direct but not abusive, and am also free to post what I want.
I do try to be polite, but normally also respond to others the way they respond to me, hence my comments above.0 -

The problem with the Up, Citigo or Mii is they only have four seats and they are not very well equipped.
I considered them, but to get the same spec as the Picanto, AirCon, electric Windows, ESP, hill start assist, alloys, Bluetooth (music and phone calls), Aux, USB, reversing sensors, electric mirrors and leather steerin wheel and gearknob would have cost several thousands extra.
I don't doubt they will be decent little cars. But the specs were just too basic. Have seen a couple of Citigos knocking about with a few little mods and they look quite appealing.0 -
Maybe consider Ibiza fabia.. Size, they come with extras.0

If you get into an accident in a Smart car, there's little extra room around you and any passengers and I have always seen that as not a very smart idea. Despite achieving good safety ratings, I am not convinced.
What is your budget? The Panda is a good choice, but hard to say without knowing your price point.0 -
Now they have stopped making Rovers, the only last car for OAPs is the excellent Jazz.Je suis sabot...0

Well I'm sure you'll all be interested to know after two weeks of purgatory looking at cars I finally found one which ticked all my boxes. It wasn't a Picanto or a Panda either!
A 62 plate, well looked after, fsh, one local owner, Vauxhall Agila 1.2 SE, with 12 months RAC Warranty, an oil service, 12 month MOT and a new battery.
My price to change, trading my old 03 Punto, was £3500, which is far better than I could have achieved anywhere else on cars that frankly were rubbish in comparison.0 -
