A lot depends on the type of area that you live in and the amount of public transport that you have as you said you don't drive. If you live in/near a big town or city you might get plenty of mystery shopping work.
I live in the middle of nowhere with absolutely no access to public transport. When I used to do it any assignments I could get were so far away that all my profit was eaten up by petrol costs:(.. I enjoyed it but you have to be very disciplined and stick to their guidelines, timings and instructions to the letter, otherwise you can do the job and not get paid for it:mad:
Aesop is the mystery shopping expert, I'm sure she'll tell you the pros and cons:)0 -
Ggrr today I am hating mystery shopping! There is one company that no matter how much I follow the brief, they have to make a comment. And the one I mentioned earlier, isn't paying me as I was one minute too early - I don't think I can be bothered with them anymore.
I so wish I had an employed job from home

Welcome Emma
£11.00 tips to add for me and £28 overtime. Went in for a few hours this morning as they were short staffed. Almost wishing I hadnt bothered. We were extremely busy and one customer (who has been rude to staff before) didnt like the fact he had to wait a little while to be served and when I managed to get to him he asked if he was invisible. I explained about us being busy and I was there now so what could I get him? He said "Is that it?" obviously expecting me to grovel and apologise and when I politely asked again what I could get him....he flung the menu on the table effing and blinding and walked out!
Chef was also in an ar*e. What is it with men and their egos?
Anyway.......tomorrow is another day and after banking all my change I have another 42.09 to fling at the mortgage.Make £10 a Day Feb .....£75.... March... £65......April...£90.....May £20.....June £35.......July £600 -

I like your enthusiasm Emma - welcome! We're kinda lovely on this thread so keep asking the questions. At least one of us will have been there before so may be able to offer advice.
I managed to buy my car insurance using Aesop's cache clearing tip so fingers crossed I get the £27.01 cashback. Even if I don't, it was still the cheapest policy and £33 less than I had budgeted so I'm happy.
I also found another shiny penny yesterday :j
Oh, and I accepted an offer on an ebay item - I decided that the money was more use to me than the item so £25 is now in my bank account and my ebay box is one item lighter!
And finally, not quite money making, but I got half price chocolate this afternoon plus a bunch of freebies as i was the last customer of the day and they had a best before date of the end of April!! Ha ha, there are still 6 days left in April...no chance of there being any left by then0 -
