Well i am very glad to see the back of April it was such an expensive month with almost £2000 paid out for Car insurances ,Health club Memberships ,Car Mot and parts ,holiday ,i must say that i felt like giving up as i seem to be going backwards instead of forward.

Sometimes the world conspires against us! 8 more months of 2018 to go so plenty of time to make some great gains.:money:

I am sorry to be a misery moaner SJ and Busy mee1 and thank you both . Today i am feeling a lot more upbeat and as you say there are still 8 more months to make a difference and i definitely do need you all to help me stay focused on the goal.

    So today ,day 3 ,
Food Budget on budget ,doing well
Diesel on budget , doing well
Savings ,free money or as BM calls it odds and sods £66.95 so all looking good

Another beautiful day today ,it really does help to lift your mood and i definitely feel a lot better today . I need to list some more things on Ebax ,i have around 220 listed now but selling is very ,very slow and no sales yet this month and not many surveys ,not any now i come to think of it ,how strange.

A bit of good news though ,after reading SJs monthly net worth i thought i would look on Zooplx to see what my house is valued at and could not believe my eyes £290,000 that means that after paying my £165,000 Mortgage i would have around £125,000 left plus the £21,000 that i have saved making £146,000 ,obviously im not taking into account all the costs of moving but that has made me feel a lot happier as i could buy a very nice flat with the money if push came to shove in fact a very nice flat for £125,000 sold near to me in a gorgeous setting so that has made me feel a lot more secure

My April was a shocker too (and so was yesterday according to my newly implemented spending diary!). Here's hoping May is a better month for us all :)

Great news about the valuation - at least you've got an option to fall back on.

Still no sales on Ebax though sadly, i will try to list a few more today if i get time and relist any that have finished . I think thats all for today , no change overall but at least i am staying on track , i must post on here everyday as it definitely keeps me much more focused

I had intended to post daily but i am here now and pleased to report that over the first 8 days of this month i have only overspent by £30 which is a record for me i think .

All savings for week one of May were all intact ,food budget and diesel budget all on target.
Now in week 2 and i have overspent by £30 so i will try to be especially careful this week to see if i can recoup that £30 from somewhere else

No Ebax sales still not one in eight days even though i have well over 200 items listed and i am now listing some more
So overall a great start to the month ,i am really staying focused now ,i just hope i can keep this up and reach my target savings this month of £1472 .

Well what a turn around .I started the month with £21,260 and as of today i have £23,613 that is a difference of £2,353 .I have absolutely no idea how i have saved that amount this month ,im guessing i must have added Aprils total savings wrongly but i am not complaining £2,353 is an amazing amount mostly made up pf selling unwanted items and my husbands 12 hours a day 7 days a week working and also the fact that our ISAs are showing big increases over the last 2 or 3 weeks.

Thank you themadvix , this beautiful weather definitely motivates me a lot
