Fan constantly kicking in on MK5 Golf R32

Well it's making a fair old racket, so if it's a small fan that's doing this then i'd hate to hear the big one.
But there's no lights on for AC being on.

CTS would set fan into default
so would aircon
so would a wiring fault
its a vw
so all probably apply
next stage is self combustion if you dont take it to someone who understands

It's definitely the large one (or both). Small one doesn't make much noise as it has to be on during normal AC operation.
