Thanks everyone for the responses. I might have to see if I can source a couple of strong fellas to carry it up the stairs ... failing that then I will check out some local ads to see if there is anyone who moves furniture about for a small-ish fee0

Task Rabbit - it's an app where you can advertise for handymen/cleaners/people to move furniture for you. There are other apps that are similar too. You put an add and people respond if they're willing to do it.0
