The first advice should be to THINK first but don't on no account IGNORE and refer the reader to the NEWBIES thread here. All the information is there.
The reader of the leaflet needs to know that the charge is not a FINE but an unsolicited INVOICE.
The RETAILER can and should cancel these invoices (if the charge wasn't an abuse of their facility) and if not satisfied at the store go to their CEO as was done in this thread.
THIS SHOULD BE THE FIRST ACTION. Give the retailer some grief!
If practicable, bring back the goods purchased at the store and get a refund. This focuses the mind of the store manager.
Others will know best but there is no point in rewording the NEWBIES bible.
Totally agree and I'm all for giving the retailer grief
Still looking for input on the wording for a leaflet0 -
I think someone else on here already has leaflets made up, though I can't remember who.
I don't know if you want something more complicated that:
"Got a parking invoice? It's unenforcable, go to <newbies thread?> to find out how to get rid of it"
Or something like "UKPC are known scammers, and you will not have to pay if you follow the appropriate advice. Search "UKPC fraud" and "MoneySavingExpert parking tickets" for more information".0 -
Thanks. I do like the leaflets, it would not cost much for a few hundred to start with and then I can post the artwork on here for others to use.
I know my thoughts on a leaflet but would be great for input here as it would have to be general.
I can arrange this on tuesday
