Surely like anything in life if created or carried by humans then a mistake will happen and being the grammar police really belittles you rather than the author of the letter, Harsh yes but nit picking over such trivial things is just stupid in my view as it would be in others to.[/QUOTE

Getting back to the real problem. On researching this I found B&Q are paying about £150000 a year in rates and probably nearly the same in rent.
Penrith is a small market town and apart from a busy tourist season doesn't attract a huge number of shoppers compared with Carlisle 20 miles away.
There are already a number of vacant retail sites yet UKPC, unless reigned in, will make business a misery for these retailers.
As the nearby Morrison's has found out with the arrival of PE every pcn issued is a lost customer.
My contact reported that the land agent was extremely concerned as they still have a couple of units to let on this site. Given the state of retailing I think they are rightly worried.REVENGE IS A DISH BETTER SERVED COLD0 -

A very good post Northlakes and you are right. Even the land agents/landowners never realised the problem these cowboys would create. Retailers are yet to wake but they will
Just look at BHS who yesterday had a creditors meeting and landlords agreed to reduce rents. Many BHS stores reside in retail parks and even reduced rents will not help if scammers like UKPC are allowed to roam wild attacking their customers.
Today, I was in a small retail park which would hold about 150 cars, it was less than half empty, the hoodies on patrol are UKPC.
I was speaking to a manager of one store and I asked him, did he know that UKPC are a fraudulent company. he said yes, it's all over the internet.
He said the UKPC scum tried to ticket him even though he had permission to park ..... he then said that UKPC target people in disabled bays. As there was no ANPR, I asked does he see any of the animals on patrol. He said that a young guy visits in his white van about every 4 hours.
As the car park has a 2 hour limit it is difficult to understand how they can actually time people who park. No white van came whilst I was in the car park and I overstayed, camera ready to catch them as I really do want a video upload to youtube.
Despite all this, UKPC issue tickets and now I want to find out .. how with no ANPR. So with a few friends and myself, we are going to watch this car park to see just what happens when the "white van" shows up.
I have NEVER received a ticket from UKPC, that's not the point, from all the posts here, UKPC are vermin that need to be destroyed.
In a nutshell, I want, I need a UKPC ticket and if it happens, I or one of my friends will capture it on video .. The Chase is on
As we know that UKPC are avid readers of this forum, I will just say, it will be somewhere in the UK.
I know from previous experience on here, this will create an adverse reaction from some and my reply will be "if you are serious, are you with us or not" ?
Me, I am sick to death of scammers like UKPC, they are hurting normal people because of pure greed, dangerous dogs are illegal in the UK and the PPC dogs must be muzzled
Of course, a lot will depend on the government who have said they will respond to the Beavis petition in April.
Will this Conservative government approve the scam or not0 -
Good on you
Make sure the hoodie is in full uniform too.
Is it worth giving some leaflets/flyers to the store manager with links to here to get the tickets cancelled, so that he can help his visitors from getting shafted?0 -
I know I have been a little critical of some of your posts in the past, but I'm with you on this one.0

Thanks. I do like the leaflets, it would not cost much for a few hundred to start with and then I can post the artwork on here for others to use.
I know my thoughts on a leaflet but would be great for input here as it would have to be general.
I can arrange this on tuesday0 -
Post them up when you've got them and we can give them a once over before you go to print.0

I understand that the person who received this PCN went firing off to the PPC. Not the thing to do, as we all know. NEVER PHONE A PPC They are only after the drivers name and money!
The first advice should be to THINK first but don't on no account IGNORE and refer the reader to the NEWBIES thread here. All the information is there.
The reader of the leaflet needs to know that the charge is not a FINE but an unsolicited INVOICE.
The RETAILER can and should cancel these invoices (if the charge wasn't an abuse of their facility) and if not satisfied at the store go to their CEO as was done in this thread.
THIS SHOULD BE THE FIRST ACTION. Give the retailer some grief!
If practicable, bring back the goods purchased at the store and get a refund. This focuses the mind of the store manager.
Others will know best but there is no point in rewording the NEWBIES bible.REVENGE IS A DISH BETTER SERVED COLD0
