Tuesday 22 March - What small DFW things will you do today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :money:

Good morning
Hope everyone is ok today. Sorry I didn't catch up properly yesterday - just too busy. I've had a good sleep but still quite tired, thankfully just today and tomorrow to get through. Things are ok, but a bit weird at home at the moment.
Here's today's listcheck banking and PAD
load of washing
full day of teaching
mark a set of books
go to wellbeing event after school with the kids
eat well
aim for nsd
minimise use of heating
get an early night
try not to stress
Have a good day all...Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Morning Cat thanks for the start
Hello to all who follow
They've just been talking again on the news about how important walking is. Which is great as I must knock out 4 plus miles in a usual day. Cheap and quicker a lot of the time in getting from A to B.
My bit of news yesterday was that my business made a small profit (after 3 years of not) last financial year. So I have to see the accountant to sign that off. Feels quite amazing really considering all that has happened.
Last bill of the month will go out today and that is it we are skint. Have some cash to get through the coming few days but bank account empty.
Planning a small easter Egg hunt for DS on Sunday. Will probably use an egg substitute like dinosaurs or something then he can trade them in at the end for an egg.
Have taken 2 portions of pie out of the freezer for a meal either tonight or tommorow.
It's a lovely day here.
Love to all.

Morning all
Thanks for the start CCL, nearly the end of term :j
Not sure if it is me, but the site seems to be behaving a bit oddly this morning?
Sad news about the explosions in Brussels, thoughts to those affected
Right, so far today I have:
Used a very ripe banana with my breakfast porridge
Dog walk #1 (free exercise for both of us)
Pegged washing out on line
Quick tidy up in kitchen, dishwasher on
Removed some slightly freezer burnt chicken thighs from the freezer to use up tonight
Still to do:
Walk into town and buy a few items - I will get what I can from the market, and use some shopping vouchers that I have accumulated from RM surveys to get the rest in Iceland
Make soup - veggies to use up. Lettuce and pea and creamed parsnip, so should do a few lunches
Make Hairy Bikers diet version of Chicken Provencale for dinner tonight (use up those freezer burnt chicken pieces)
Bit of housework
Looks like a cooking day, better go and get the few ingredients I am missing!
Hope everyone has a good day0 -
First time poster to this but here goes! My plans for today to keep my days spending as limited as possible.
Start to use up cereal from my desk draw for breakfast. Will go nicely with the free coffee I was handed at the station yesterday.
Brought in a Pot Noodle + bag of crisps from home for my lunch today. Forgot to bring my drink with me so 60p for a can of diet coke will be spent. Leaves me £3 until Thursday Pay Day.
Meeting a friend after work to do our second session of week 3 in the Couch to 5k programme. Going running in the park next to my house then will drop her home.
Get OH to make sandwiches for work tomorrow.
Sort out heating so that it only comes on once a day now the days are getting brighter and warmer. Use blankets in the evenings or put a hoodie on if needs be.
Beans on toast and a cup of tea planned for dinner after a shower and hairwash. Watch another episode of Game of Thrones with the OH.
