Vodaphone will also be members or one or other Ombudsman Scheme, which you can go to if they fails to deal properly with the complaint. Should say which they belong to in their formal complaints procedure.

  • In the interest of balance the OP's first sentence states their partner cancelled their contract - all posts since then have not asked the question - was the OP out of contract and could he cancel without charge>?
Have they continued to use the phone to make calls etc and are the charges valid?

    JUST ASKING!

    Hiya,

He was out of contract so no charges applicable.

And no as soon as we cancelled he got a new contract elsewhere that was switched off and not used at all. Only switched on to see if they had finally disconnected each month which they hadnt until january after the request in august.

    Its just ridiculous!
We have reported to their ofcom people and guess what should reply to your form within 10 working days they cant even follow their own customer care let advise others on thwir wrong doings! So thats annoying!!

To cancel do you have to give notice say 30 days?
Did his provider's T&C state this - did he give notice or cancel d/d straightaway?

Perhaps you need to enquire via Vods twitter account..
Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

It is a pity though that no other department can sort out basic issues to start of with!

Also, no-one (not even Ellie Goulding) wants to listen to her song on loop for 40+minutes each time you phone up! It's like torture!

Just to confirm we gave the 30 days notice only when they continued to bill we cancelled the direct debit knowing from experience in the family its hard to get your money back even if not your fault, overall in the family no end of problems with Vodafone.

and thanks Yoshiyella your right pitty vodafone basic customer service team cant do their job and I have had to find every way to get this matter resolved, I have had an email back and I have asked they call us this time as we have already racked up a good bill with current provider in trying to get the matter resolved.
