Clearing a mistake on credit file help! VODAFONE!

I have an ongoing saga with Vodafone my partner cancelled his contract in August yet every month they have sent bill after bill and every month we have rang having to explain every time the contract had been cancelled and there is no bill to be paid the account had been settled. Well were now in March I have demanded to speak managers on several occasions I'm promised my issue will be sorted the phone didnt actually get formally disconnected till January but we had it switched off since having a new contract elsewhere due to their poor service whilst in contract with them let alone now! In fact i forgot to mention its now got to the point we recieved a debt collection letter demanding the money, we have since sent them the texts and emails and live chats with vodafone confirming the bills will be zeroed and his credit file corrected. The same day we spoke with the debt collectors we spoke with vodafone who said they will get rectified asap with a letter to follow still no letter over a week and half later, rang yesterday still nothing has been done. We have reported to ofcom still waiting to hear from then 10 working days is up tomorrow.

I just dont know what to do if anyone has any advice as we worked so hard on our credit file now its full of negatives to something that isnt our fault! and it doesnt seem to matter who we tell still isnt sorted :(

You may have to see a solicitor, and do what you can to hit them for compo.

How much longer are these arrogant companies, together with their partners in crime, the CRAs, going to be allowed to blacklist people like this? There seems no end to it, and something needs doing about it. OP, you could perhaps consider raising the general matter with your MP.

The compensation for the OP is likely to be negligible. Their losses appear to be limited to the cost of phone calls and/or letters.

I'm not saying that companies should be allowed to take such a lackadaisical approach to these things but it's really going to be a matter of principle if the OP goes down the legal route.

There's the distress caused by scum. The OP should lay it on with a large trowel.

Which a judge will completely ignore.

We're talking a few hundred or maybe a couple of grand here.

It's really not worth it unless you're proving a point.

Having had experiences with CRA's (credit reference agencies) you can speak to them till you're blue in the face without any outcome. 'Their' clients are the suppliers and financial institutions and their word goes first whatever.
Personally I had an issue with a certain DCA cunningly trying to circumvent the '6 year rule' by making calls to my file and stating 'outstanding debt' , which of course other visitors to the file could see! It took me literally 9 months for the ombudsman to issue a directive to the CRA not to allow this to be shown as a reason for a search! Prior to this they totally ignored whatever I said knowing full well the circumstances.

Considering that there is no such thing as a Blacklist then your post here is irrelevant!. I really don't know why you keep thinking these blacklists exist?. But I'm sure you will carry on mentioning them because it fits in nicely with your anti financial organisation agenda ;)

I already explained about the CRA blacklists in my previous posts.

He is the CEO of Vodafone - by emailing him it goes to the CEO's complaint team and they usually sort things out fairly quickly!

I dealt with an issue on behalf of my sister in law after she spent 3 months listening to the same crappy music for over an hour each phone call and nothing was done. I emailed the CEO after googling his email address and had a phone call back within 48 working hours and was sorted pretty much in that one phone call
