    still no refund and credit card is saying i need to speak with jet2... is there any institucion we can complain at jet2??

  • Sorry to hear your continued problems with Jet2.

    Firstly, don't bother with the telephone or email – it’s a waste of time. Send recorded letters 'requesting' the refund. Keep copies of the letter. Set a deadline for reply (7/14 days is usual).

    Then threaten to take them to court.

    Then take them to court.

    As your claim is under £5000* you can use the low cost route (quite apt in this case). Have a look at the CAB and court service* websites for details. You can also claim cost, interest, time/trouble, etc. I think the standard bank letter is somewhere between £15 & £36 from what I can gather, so claim a similar amount. You will also get your court fee from Jet2 (if successful).

    Just like the banks, Jet2 aren't likely to turn up in court.

    If after all of this you don't get a refund, then go after your credit card company.

    By the way - Jet2 will ditch the Manchester-Amsterdam route after 6th Jan 2008.

    Jet2 are *rumoured* to be retaining only 9 routes from Manchester next summer. Their map currently shows 23 routes (booking tool also 23 but not the same 23!).

    Maybe "Marcdr" in an earlier post on here would like to reconsider his views on this shambolic outfit!

    So remember, With Jet2 - it might be you (who doesn't fly)

    Rang em they said it is being processed. We shall see but if it isnt processed within 2 weeks then I shall be doing exactly that SHS. God please don't let them cancel my Leeds -Murcia 2008 flights as I will never ever get them elsewhere as cheaply!

    i had my monies back yestarday as well. full amount... but still thinking about making complain, more than 3 weeks its too long to keep our monies...
