Servicing is very straightforward on this model, I was able to do quite a bit myself and I am by no means particularly deft with spanners! Also the computer side of things is not that complex either. Parts were easy to get as well. Roof motor and other specialist spares are pricey, but in our 11 years of ownership, the car was very reliable, cheap to run and great fun to drive. The boot seal perished and allowed water ingress, which killed the roof motor, that happened when the car was over 10 years old - sports car body seals should really be checked more frequently, we could have avoided that expense !0

Spoke to a lady at work who has one and she said this was the only issue she has had. She also has a Merc independent specialist who she has recommended.
I pick it up tomorrow morning. Can't wait. Just need to book into hairdressing college.0 -
With the W202, you can change brushes with the heater motor in situ; brushes accessed from the passenger side; quite an easy job I understand but I have not done it myself. Don't know about SLK but might be similar.
This SLK is a thinly disguised W202, so the heater is the same.
OP needs to keep an eye on the PSE pump and the multi relay.
Sooner or later it will rust away to nothing though."Love you Dave Brooker! x"

So do you keep getting flagged down by leggy blondes wanting to hop in the passenger seat?0
