my estimated delivery date is now 25th OCTOBER!
i will probably be cancelling and buying one from PC world instead now
See if you can negotiate a delivery refund for the inconvenience?
I've not been told what the new date is yet, rang yesterday but they don't know what's going on.
Just checked website - same date as yours
Edit: Still nothing for that spec for that price around though. It's still the best deal going - unless anyone knows different???
The same machine with 3yr warranty is £579 on Thiefbay0 -
The computer says 'no' but Dell say 'yes'!
Coming this week, gave me a morning or afternoon window.0 -
any updates on this

Agreed, but mine came ok and am very happy. If it wasn't the best price for the spec I would have cancelled. Although the date was extended until 25th Oct, it came 25th Sep.
I still can't find anything as cheap for the spec.
I did hear a rumour that there is a monitor glass shortage - I have a friend who was told that after delays to a large monitor order.0 -
wow mine was the same apart from it still has not come. any where i can report dell for this.

I phoned to cancel my dell order on friday 28th september. at this time they had not even started making my laptop. the lady on the phone told me it had been cancelled.
yesterday saturday 29th september i notice dell have taken £411 from my bank account!? why? it's not been made yet and estimated delivery is not until 25th october, which is why i have since bought another laptop
today sunday 30th september i get an email stating that my dell laptop has been dispatched and is with the carrier!
it seems that as soon as i cancelled this they charged me, built it and then sent it straight away even though i no longer require it.
if i had known it was going to be sent this soon then i would have waited but i have already bought another laptop now.
i do not want this laptop, can i reject it? will i be charged the £60 shipping even though i cancelled the order?0 -

As you had been told it was cancelled (and assuming you do not want the Dell - can you take the other back?) I would refuse the delivery when it comes, email Dell asap telling them the truth - you were told it was cancelled, you bought an alternative, you were acting on their information assuming the order was cancelled, please can you have a full refund inc shipping charge.0 -

i would prefer the dell as it's got a better spec than the other laptop i bought from currys but i can't take the other one back now as it has now been used, in fact i'm using it at the moment.
i have emailed dell again (third time) stating what has happened. i'm not expecting a reply though as they've not replied to my other 2 emails from earlier this week.
i will have to call them first thing tomorrow i think. very annoyed about this.0
