Just to show that I can actually do something for myself......when prompted :rotfl:
    For anyone interested:
To get the boosted £125 bonus (£100 after), you need to apply to switch by 11.59pm on 22 March.

So you can switch after tomorrow night....but will 'only' get £100

    Apologies.
Here's a question that I could not find:
I have more than one HSBC account and I'd like to switch from that. However, does anyone know whether the all the HSBC accounts will get closed or just that one....

Would love to know this though...

The text in the MSE article doesn't count for anything! As said above, Halifax can pull the offer at any time. And, although possibly unlikely, they may not even revert back to £100 on Wednesday morning.

But why the delay anyway? You first posted last night. Even allowing for shift working you must have had time to throw in an application between then and 23:59 this evening? After all, you're on the internet now!

You specify one account to switch. It is that account, and that account only, that is closed and switched.

You switch an account you have elsewhere. If you don't have one, you open one with the sole intention of immediately switching it to your existing Halifax Reward account (subject to meeting the eligibility criteria of course)!

FYI, I did mine an hour ago. No shift work, worked days, came home, cooked tea, ate tea, switched account and am now asking on behalf of wife.
    Satisfied?

By 'switching', I think they assume that some people use their Halifax account as a spare account (I do) so want people to make the switch from their 'main' account and hope that direct debits, etc, move with them.

It's the other way round, you get the incentive if you haven't had one since January 2012, not before:

Thanks for pointing out my mistake, I missed a few words out I meant 'havent had the incentive before or since January,

I haven't been told that it will be £100 from 23rd, but I'm sure if it will be I will know when I go back to work tomorrow, and yes you can still switch up till midnight tomorrow, but I think the call centre closes at 8pm, and not sure it will start the switch if initiated via online, (lots have gone missing and had to be finished in branch this way) branch switches in working hours will qualify although you may find it hard to get an appointment.
