They've got an offer on moto g latest one on Motorola site. Plus you can customise look.

So for about £125 you can get the phone. Its robust and screen is quite tough.

I do like the look of moto play but the screen is massive.

Despite Gorilla glass I've smashed the screens on 2 Moto Gs. I replaced the first phone. I've had the screen repaired on the 2nd one and got a tempered glass screen protector.

I think the Moto X is supposed to have an extremely tough screen but is a lot more expensive.

ETA - it's actually the Moto X Force which has the shatterproof display and it costs around £500!

Absolutely. It's a common misconception about gorilla glass.

    What is a gorilla glass?

The manufacturer, Corning Inc., says that Gorilla Glass' material's primary properties are its high scratch resistance (protective coating), and its hardness (with a Vickers hardness test rating of 622 to 701).
Scratch resistance is essentially the same as high hardness, and all hard materials are fragile at the same time, e.g. ceramics, diamonds.

They do seem to claim that it is tougher than non Gorilla glass. Yet the only screens I have broken have been Gorilla glass!

I do wonder whether repeatedly dropping them does somehow weaken them.
