60% instead of 95% doesn't sound much of a win to me :rotfl:

They got 36.9% of the popular vote, which is the largest % of any party standing in Scotland.

    Does this answer your question?
Don't blame me, I voted Remain.

Standing on independence, as always, they may say otherwise but the electorate knows what they're about.

The unionist parties wiped the floor with them last night, you should acknowledge that.

    Strange.
Conservatives losing seats in England is a failure.
SNP losing seats in Scotland is a success.
    Confused :rotfl:

The anti English sentiments are certainly starting to come out on social media with some pretty vile posts. The veil of respectability is starting to crumble and the real SNP showing through. The beginning of the end.

Of course it needs to be acknowledged that the SNP went from a thumping majority to just a majority.
    No point denying that.

In party political terms, they are the party with the most MP's in Westminster, they also had the largest vote share of all of the parties. On the issue of independence they have been resoundingly beaten with unionist parties picking up 25.8% more votes than the SNP and Greens combined.

Mmm, yes well. I imagine a great deal has been said on this thread regarding the election result in Scotland.

The SNP does appear to have done a lot worse than expected. What Scottish polls I saw seemed to have them at 41%-42%. Getting 37% is a big chunck down on that.

I would guess that Ms Davidson will be happy. Almost doubling the CON share of the vote, going from 1 to 13 seats, and coming second overall. (With the bonus of that result in Gordon, which was pretty spectacular. But not unique. Have we just seen a wave of anti-SNP tactical voting?)

Even LAB and the LDEMS will be happy(ish) having won seats. Scottish Greens and UKIP melt into significance.

The chances of the SNP getting a second referendum in the immediate future where pretty much close to zero anyway. Now I would say they were less then zero.
Gordon was never a SNP stonghold though. A big name was parachuted in for the 2015 election when the existing long standing LibDem candidate decided not to run. On the other hand the SNP stronghold Moray was a spectacular result. :D

Which makes the single minded view held by NS to the point of recklessness look even more stupid than that of TM.
