My you guys seem to have trouble reading the posts.
Maybe if we didn't have to wade through so many ..............

And maybe if all those posts actually contained something relevant and worth reading ............................

    :)

Meantime, even Russia's Kremlin has noticed Scottish hypocrisy:
In a new broadside, state news outlets controlled and funded from Moscow effectively accused Scottish parliamentary authorities of hypocrisy on freedom speech.

Your first sentence applies to many political arguments. It certainly applies to the article by Wren-Lewis which you !ink where, as per SNP-think does, it assumes a really bad outcome to the Brexit negotiations and simulaniously an immediate seamless membership of the single market for Scotland. Both are at extremes of possible scenarios.
    ...

Anybody can write a piece which sees all the positives happening on one side, and all the negatives on the other.

For me, it was a naked opportunity for the author to reveal his anti-Brexit sentiment.

Clearly, people on both sides mistrust the figures.

I think the fairest solution is to allocate funding around the UK on an even basis per capita. Then, areas which attract more people would attract more funding.

The usual solution to mistrusting figures is to nullify the arraignment.

I think the fairest solution is to allocate funding around the UK on a square mile basis. This would have the affect of making a more even use of the whole of the UK and it's resources as people wouldn't all want to be crammed down in one small corner.

Enough about Tricky already. I'm sticking up for him/her because they at least tried to answer the deficit question in a mature civilised fashion...
Are these the 2017 meme's that we need to debunk? Consider the gentleman on twitter debunked as an imbecile on the basis of his p*$$ poor arithmetic.

You're just going around the same arguments in the same circular fashion.

I do personally hope that May gives you a referendum after Brexit, but it should be a "put up or shut up". If the vote goes against then no more for a generation.

    Funny.
Don't blame me, I voted Remain.

I agree that the question should be asked again because of Brexit and also agree that the next answer should be binding unless the political landscape changes again or there is evidence of a desire of the people and a mandate to ask the question again.

I also think it should be up to Scotland to decide with Scottish politicians making their case for and against (like what Cameron said) and not bombarded with Westminster media and Westminster politicians running up to Scotland to try and manipulate the result.

You just ignore the content regardless of the relevance or if I respond directly with points you don't like.

So not really binding at all then?

    What a surprise :rotfl:

ISTL - you really should stop talking to yourself.

But speaking personally, I'm not into calling people Trolls. I think I did call someone a HateTroll once, but not on this and previous similar threads.

Anyone who understands the economics would not support independence for Scotland - the facts are plain for those with the comprehension

I'm the first one to note the economics of an iScotland are atrocious at the present time.

Scotland going Independent would mean very deep cuts to spending, large tax rises, a reduced standard of living over the short to medium term, and on a personal note a fairly material hit to my net wealth.

But I'll be voting for Indy this time around regardless.
