It is grey and blowy here and the rain is battering the windows. Littlewing has a deep cough. Definitely a day for staying indoors. I think I will be making the chocolate tree decorations for elderly relative on my own though.

Did all the xmas cards yesterday, just awaiting DH to sign them. He is at work.

Had two presents already from customers, so am making sure I am organised on the thank you letters front too.

Woohoo tea! Glad the new job is better!

With it being the UK at the moment, I have been watching quite a bit of snooker on the telly this week, and likely even more this weekend as it's far too cold to go out a the moment.

Yes, I've watched a fair bit, too.

Strange to have another Higgins on the circuit.
I wondered if they were related so I Wiki-ed him, but he's not.

I always used to like playing snooker. And pool.
    Haven't played for years, though.

If I had somewhere to put one, I wouldn't mind a snooker table, but I haven't even got room for a pool table! :(

We are knee deep in snow. Gitdog is not impressed as I've not yet got round to ordering his winter woollies. Am currently pondering whether I am likely to get my car up the road in the morning, having already helped to push a couple that got stuck. It's tempting to have a working from home day but there's one visit I really need to make.

In contrast, my sister-in-law posted a video on facebook of their dog bounding around the garden with massive enthusiasm in 3" deep snow yesterday. :rotfl:

I spent the weekend indoors with the heating on watching snooker (which was really good yesterday). Made it as far as the front door to take a picture of the snow and that was it!

My dog loves the snow too. She had a proper giddy time in it yesterday. Trouble is, once she knows it is there, she keeps nagging to go out. She'll only run around in the snow in the garden for about 10 minutes before getting bored but then want to go out again another ten minutes later. Wouldn't mind so much but she's a proper mithering pest when she's not getting what she wants, and everytime I open the door to let her out it lets all the cold air in.
She would always like to say,
Why change the past when you can own this day?

  • -4C this morning at home (outside, I mean). Sounds like it was quite a bit worse it the Midlands, hope you're all keeping warm if you live round there.

-8 here this morning (in the Midlands). We still have most of the 6" of snow we got on Sunday. Doesn't look like it's going to be above freezing till the end of the week.

Schools are closed for the second day - which does seem a bit of a con as literally every other workplace is managing just fine!

Walk Gitdog to Nans at 7.30/( -8) as she's too worried about falling, understandably, and prefers not to drive when it's icy. Set off for work, car got poorly part way there. Now sitting freezing in a garage wondering how much time I'm going to end up owing. Garage has broken something else while trying to fix initial problem. Not one of my better days so far.
