Merry Wasmas, one and all.
And special thanks to WaS herself, for reaching out in hope, and finding and gathering a group of people, some humming birds, some not, who now provide mutual support. Well done Was, you have given hope and friendship to many, isn't that the universal message of Wasmas?Deal with things as they are, not as they should be.0 -
WARNING this videoclip is of spiders, so don't watch if you are really phobic. However, the spiders in question are tiny little, colourful peacock spidies, with pretty 'faces', doing lovely Christmassy things, so shouldn't trigger anyone that isn't superhyperphobic.
The 'cover' photo below is as bad as it gets!

Sounds like a much better time than expected, lambyr. Has your mum noticed the ring yet?

Can't believe George Michael has passed away. (Not your fault, WaS)
We had a great day. Feel a bit strange about the BlackSheep situation and I am resenting things to do with that. But it is probably tiredness not helping the thoughts! I wonder why biologically tiredness has such an effect.
Littlewing is in bed in her new jimjams with her beautiful new dress over the back of the chair. She loved her presents but she greatly enjoyed giving other people presents and helping them unwrap them.
DH and DS are enjoying time off doing male bonding.
We got some lovely home baked goodies from SIL. That was special.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
Thanks Lambyr!
Clever old brains!
I can't believe that people can turn up on masse and not tell you how long they're staying for.
They must have told the hotels, though?
Thank goodness you don't have to do them breakfasts.
Did they leave you to do the Xmas meal on your own?
Are they likely to take you out for some meals while they're here?
And did they bring you any decent presents?
I think that next year you'll have to pretend to be going away with your mum!(I just lurve spiders!)

One day of doing very little is enough for me. I now need to be active - it's different in your own house when you're pottering. No one wants me to do any jobs, and it feels rude to stick your nose in a book when you're visiting even if it is family. Slightly bored this morning. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

Have they got any pets you can deal with?
Or take Gitdog for extra long walks?
Or.............there's always the shops!(I just lurve spiders!)
