    Hehe me too!

I also got these boots for a £1 too http://www.asos.com/cat-footwear/caterpillar-bruiser-scrunch-lace-up-boots/prd/3641342?iid=3641342 Again, the soles looked absolutely spotless! Bit gutted though as I thought they were a size 6 but they're a 7. I'm a size 5 but a 6 in trainers, and some boots I can get away with a 6 as I wear thick socks, but these are just too big. :(

My aunty also gave me some Wade Whimseys (bambi, thumper and a dog in a basket) and asked me to sell them. After watching all these antique programmes, she thought they were worth about £20 each, but in reality they're lucky if they go for a fiver on eBay.

I think I've inspired her to have a massive sort out, as every time I go she's getting rid of more stuff!

I love whimsies... look up whimtrays! They are my favourite :D I have two beautiful whimtrays, and have to stop myself buying others.

Most whimsies are about £1 each to be honest.

I put on my winter skirt for the first time this season. It seemed snugger than I thought it should be as I pulled it over the hips. When it was on I realised that I hadn't undone the zip. So that was a slight win!

Am stuck in a cycle of not-quite-depression at the moment. I spend all week looking forward to the weekend and all weekend feeling disappointed in not achieving anything. Littlewing has a persistent cough again. She is waking in the night wanting mummy so I am sleeping with her. I have got her back on regular vitamin and iron supplements from the doctor - hopefully that will help.

I wonder if the vitamin D supplement would help me. We didn't even get to the seaside this summer for a day trip.

It is difficult to know if financial issues are making us miserable or if feeling down is making the financial issues seem worse. (I am getting help - just need to collate paperwork and that feels constantly overwhelming to start although I quite enjoy getting organised when I am doing it; if it were somebody else's I would be brilliant).

Thankfully, I still have my training partner so am still getting regular exercise. Even that seems a bit of a chore at times although again I enjoy it when I am doing it.

I think I am talking myself into trying vitamin D. I have a voucher I can use.

I think that's what the dog in the basket must be, a whimtray? They're not my cup of tea, but I do think they are really cute. She's had them since about the 69's/70's, so I think she thought they'd be worth more, but a lot of things don't seem to be anymore.

Apparently they say that nearly everyone should be on vitamin D supplements. I looked in the supermarket the other day and they'd all sold out!

Well, we've had three marriages, two christenings, and several peops have emigrated to Oz.
Oh, and one of us won the jackpot Euromillions and treated us all to an all-expenses paid round the world trip.

Apart from all that, nothing's happened. :)

I do hope WaS is all right and has recovered from her night terror incident.
    Are you ok WaS?

    Aw, what lovely photo's, Pyxis!

You too, Melly! There is my little princess!

Hope you are having a better day, code. Please let us know how it was.

So I have been reading about keeping a pet slug, it is possible but it is surprisingly hard work with a lot of tank cleaning and spraying, babies need their tanks cleaned twice a day. It is more complicated than having a hamster! Plus you can only keep one because they are hermaphrodite and both will become pregnant and have up to 100 babies each! On a better note they can live for 6 years so are a medium term pet and there are even especially pretty ones for collectors. Yes, I am seriously contemplating this. It would be easy to hide a slug tank from the landlord what with them being silent and they obviously wouldn't put the flat at risk. WaSp is despairing at me, I haven't gone insane honest, I just want a pet and I do have a soft spot for them. On that note African Land Snails are also a possibility and need the same care, they are huge!

  • Hahaha! There are apparently a type you can eat! Not the garden ones though because they contain parasites. The chef Hugh Fearnly-thingy even has recipes for them!
