(Are you volunteering to tell WaSp?)
Well, it is a medical necessity, after all, isn't it?,

I have retrieved Gitdog from kennels and taken him straight from there for a bath.
That was this morning and he still hasn't forgiven me.
So today's sweepstake is - how long can a Gitdog hold a grudge? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

I have just seen a photo of my great grandmother, great grandfather and great, great grandmother for the first time. My great grandmother looks exactly like my mother, it could be the same person. My cousin has so much family information it's untrue.
He also told me there is a history of migraine stretching far back in his family line so it isn't just my branch. His line also has the same thyroid disease that I suffer from. We are finding we have an awful lot in common, both with hereditary illnesses and upbringing. Our lines may have diverged but we have many similarities, just not many good ones!Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Oh I don't know! It looks like you may both have the same caring qualities, and personal insight.
How fantastic, though! I've never seen a pic of my Great-great-grandmother!
I wonder if you could do the same on your father's side, at some stage?
In other news, I've just discovered that my poetry thread got a mention and a link in Martin's weekly email on 27th July! Wheeeeeee!
Fame at last! :rotfl:(I just lurve spiders!)

I am enjoying your family history stuff, WaS.
And gitdog.
And looked at the lake district link - wow!
Last night I spent half an hour on the phone to Women's Aid on behalf of someone else. I have read about Women's Aid before on MSE but never contacted them. I have to say that they were brilliant - very understanding, quick to grasp situations and reassuring. It really did feel like a safe pair of hands.
Today we have got washing on the line, a huge amount of stuff dropped off at recycling (psychologically huge) and the house is clear and tidy apart from a messy pile of dry washing that needs to be put away.
If I am good today, I will have a productive day sorting out paperwork while DH is at work.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
Just realised that I should have said 'I am not a turtle' in Welsh when we visit our holiday home.

Here's one. You type in the word and it speaks it.
