Sounds like there's something in the air, I've been having awful nightmares too.

littlewing dreamt she was being chased by a giant owl.

I did well yesterday, decluttering a massive amount of paperwork and generally re-organising. DH was pleased.

Today I am making all those calls to change payment dates. What a palaver getting through to the right people. They are very good when I do get through.
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.

I've just realised, technically speaking, I've just finished my first full week of my new job! :rotfl:

Sounds silly, I know, but it was so easy and stress-free that I didn't even realise I was actually doing anything. I just get emails saying "Could you do this?" and "Can you take a look at that?" and then I just go and do them.

Okay, not a lot to do this week - he's been sending me through bits and bobs of work throughout the week, and I've just been doing it. Nothing massively demanding - I think he was a little cautious because E told him I wasn't too well - but I've got it all done and pretty quickly too.

I think I'm going to like this job :)

    Eddie the Eagle film?

A film about Eddie the Eagle?

Is it quite a short film? :D

Don't tell me Hugh Jackman is playing Eddie? :rotfl:

    :rotfl:

I think he plays his coach? Christopher Walken is in it too, and I think he's a good actor. I've never heard of the actor who play Eddie before.

Gosh! Sounds like the ideal job! Where you don't actually realise you're doing any work!

I googled Eddie. Interestingly, after those 1988 Olympics, they IOC changed the rules about qualifying, and he wasn't ever able to qualify again!

There is something rather good and satisfying about a complete independent making it to something as huge as the Olympics!

There will be some things to do that are a little more time-consuming and "work-like" to do, particularly over the next few weeks while everything is set up but everything this week was so straightforward that I just breezed through it.

I think it might have something to do with the way he phrases everything in emails. There's nothing like "I want this, this and this done" - it's always "Could you...?" or "Would you mind...?" as though he's asking me for a favour rather than giving me an order - if that makes sense?

And tbh, I think I just like the idea of a working from home position. I get the coffee I like, I'm working on the keyboard I'm used to, I can listen to all the weird music I enjoy and I don't have to start at 9am! :)

I fear that I may be too hormonally grumpy to read most threads in this place today (I clearly don't mean here, you're all lovely) because it's just taken me about 20 attempts to type a reply that wouldn't get me instantly PPRd.

I stole this from the Alphabetty Thread! :D

I wasn't going to share it with ANYONE, but you can have some, as it cures all the grumps! :D
