He was incredibly brave and clearly really committed to trying to help himself. It is so sad that it was then ended so abruptly, he must have felt abandoned. He has been treated very badly by the services, and three sessions is ridiculous, he needs longer than that with the amount he has been through. I am really hoping the floating support worker can push things along for both of you.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Abandoned is right WaS

I totally understand that. My heart goes out to the poor man, and he may find it hard to trust a therapist in future sadly as a result. As much as the client has an obligation to the therapeutic relationship so does the therapist and he was let down terribly. These are real people with real feelings, not something you can just toss aside and expect them to get on with it. I am horrified by how he has been treated.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Happy Easter, everyone.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -

And the clocks changing last night completely passed me by, so Gitdog has missed his Easter dog walk. I am a plonker.
Happy Easter all, whether you celebrate or not.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Ello squishables,
Just running in to say hi and squishes to all who need.
Super Silver squish for Faerie for being awesome - your bravery is inspiring.
Big squish for WaS and Moo and MU.
Wave at Calley and Welly and Pyx and Ono and WW and everyone else!
I managed to find some time to get back to my shed and the power tools on Friday and built myself a shelving unit on wheels that I have been thinking about for years - really reminded me that I rarely do anything that I actually like or want to do - I seem to get a big sense of achievement out of going to the shed and building stuff. Must do it more......remind me from time to time.
Do you guys remember the shed - that got painted bright yellow and orange in a response to not being able to agree on colours? I have to say - hats off to homebase own brand paint - the coverage and protection has been fab and even after a full winter it still looks like it was painted yesterday. I think the yellow is growing on me..............although I do still have a burning urge to "minion"ise it.0 -
Happy Easter everyone! Ooops, I have been reading, but I hadn't realised I haven't even commented to say how wonderful WaS's post on catatonia was
I learn such a lot from this thread (and I am sure most MH professionals would say the same!)
Love and squishes/cwtches to all (is that spelt correctly?) xxxxxEx board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -
