Hi guys, I've not felt able to post this week, I've been feeling so exhausted, my M.E has been so bad since the surgery, and my mood is really low. I've got a support worker for the bpd/trauma centre and I'm meeting her next fri, so hopefully that will make life easier, but I think I will only be able to go once a week , being this fatigued.
I love the heat but it doesn't love me. I forgot how much I hate living in my basement flat in summer. My neighbours have so many garden parties, it's so loud and they always stare into my flat.they psyc me out, for the disability hate incident last year. It's like living in a fish bowl :(
And my rosacea gets so bad, I go bright purple and people stare. I have to wear foundation to hide it, but it melts and looks awful, so I don't like to go out much in summer.
    ! Hope you're all ok. x

So sorry for missing your post yesterday. :(

Re your neighbours, I would hate that too. Are you able to put a blind up? One you can angle so you still get some light in, but they can't see in, or maybe a roller blind that you can pull down to a level of your choosing?

There's a foundation you can get to wear when you're doing sports which might be good to use on hot days, as it doesn't melt and slide off as easily as it's meant to cope for when you get hot and sweaty when exercising.

    I know, I love retro, esp 50's/60's!

I always upload many photos to the listing too, so they can get a good idea of the item from all angles. Do you mean upload another photo here?

No not here, I meant with the description of the dress on eBay or wherever. If there's a photo, you don't really need to describe it as anything, do you?

Or just call it 'ethnic'! :)

    .
    Or voile curtains.

They're nicer than nets and don't block as much light out as a blind might.
You can still see out, but people really can't see in at all.

IKEA do some very nice ones, plain or patterned, and so La redoute.

You may be able to find some in charity shops too.

I prefer windows without voiles or nets, and resisted for years, but my house is on a street that a lot of people walk past at school times and on nice weekends, and I started to feel like I was in a goldfish bowl, so I put some IKEA voiles up.

Ethnic yeah, I think that would describe it. :)

Technically you don't no, but it's always good to give a good description and use keywords that will help bring people to your listing when they search for say 'Paisley'.

Anyhow, no biggie, just wondered if I was missing some obviously description of the pattern. :)

Overcast here at the moment but apparently it's meant to be quite warm his afternoon, so hopefully the sun will come out. :)

Ooops faerie. Sorry for missing your post. I think there's a privacy film you can put on your windows that's a bit like sunglasses, so you can still look out but people can't see in - you can get tinted and frosted and mirror finishes. I think it's quite cheap too. I don't do well in the sun either as I'm pretty translucent so while everyone is going brown, I remain polar white and I need to protect myself from the sun. I use kids factor 50 sunblock.

Pyxis - must have missed your question too. Sorry. The app I use is called snore lab and it records you through the night and in the morning it shows you a chart of when you've snored and how loudly and you can select the noisy bits and listen to see if it's snoring or talking in your sleep. It recommends you have it charging so I put it on the table next to my bed. The tape has reduced the volume a bit but still snoring. I think the tape gets a bit damp and shifts a bit towards the end of the night, but it definitely helps.

It's getting warmer here but can't open the windows as they're digging up the street again so it's super noisy. They keep parking across our drive too which is infuriating. Also something outside was beeping all night and is still going. No idea what but it's really loud and annoying. DA dog struggles a bit in summer as he's a black double-coated dog he gets a bit hot. He turns his nose up at the paddling pool we got for him - presumably the water is too clean but will happily jump in rivers and streams so will need to move his walks through the woods to incorporate the local burn. He's getting a haircut soon so that will help.

I am also suffering summer wardrobe problems as I am far too small for last summer's holiday wear and too big for the smaller stuff I have. I think I have one pair of cropped trousers that fit. Grrr. May have to do some chazza/ebay shopping - wouldn't it be funny if I bought stuff from one of you? I do have about a million pairs of under dress/skirt shorts for the chub rub so may go back to my vow to wear more dresses.

I also need to find an empty dropper bottle to put sugar water into to revive struggling bees. I noticed a couple on the ground yesterday.

Re. the tape, you may have the tension a bit too loose. Try making it a tad tighter. It is all trial and error!

Re. the shorts, are they specific for the purpose or are they just camisole knicks?
It's one of the reasons I rarely wear dresses, but when it's hot it would be nice to wear something floaty.

Re. The wardrobe...........anyone fancy an ethnic print dress? You could cut out the middle man! Hahahahahahahaha!

    Very hot now!

Thanks. It's annoying because I have two pairs of silk thigh-length knicks, but they're black, so would show under the thin cotton dresses I do have. Nude would be better. (?They didn't do the silk ones in nude.)

I've got a couple of pairs of something like these in white, black and nude.

Also just checked my bag of small clothes and found 3 pairs of summer trousers and/or shorts that fit and a brand new pair of jeans in my size. Hoarding pays off.
