Hooray for Tom. Present ror the family :rotfl: Not so much fun for you though.

I've tried all the pillows, I've tried no pillows, I've tried some pillows. I've tried hypo-allergenic pillows. I sleep on my side and still snore. I even snore on the occasions I sleep bolt upright. My parents both snore like freight trains so it's probably genetic but not attractive at all.

    Hmm mm
    Are you still avoiding sleep?
How about a salt water nasal cleanse before bed it's disgusting but might get rid of some of the mucus (that doesn't help with snoring (

Code, try this, if you haven't already.

I've used this technique for another reason, related to breathing, for a long time. (I used to wake myself up snoring, but haven't done so for ages, so it is worth a try).

Buy some micropore tape, the sort for sticking dry dressings to skin gently. It has to be micropore.

Do this just before going to sleep:

    Tear off a piece 1.5 - 2 inches long.

Place the tape vertically from under your nose, across your closed lips to under your bottom lip.

Basically, you are taping your mouth shut while you sleep.
As it is very hard to snore with a closed mouth, this can be very useful in stopping snoring.

Don't worry about suffocating - because it is micropore tape, if you try to force your mouth open you will succeed!

    I've used it for years!

The only times I couldn't use it were when I had a cold and my nose was bunged up so I couldn't breathe through it.

By the way, alcohol can also be a big factor in snoring. I found my snoring diminished a lot when I cut out/greatly reduced alcohol consumption.

If you find a solution code, please tell me so I can pass it on to D! He snores really heavily.

You say you've tried all different pillows, but have you tried the anti snoring pillows? I think they position your head at a certain angle to try and help? I think melly's idea of using a salt water nasal cleanse is worth a try maybe too. Also, have the doctors checked for nasal polyps? They can cause snoring too.

I've tried all these things except the tape which I will try tonight. I got checked out in ENT by Dr Hotty McHot which was embarrassing and there's no physical reason. I have an app which records the snoring and the weird thing is, I can't replicate the noise when I'm awake. Didn't sleep for ages last night then Mr CP woke me up at 6.30 to watch Game of Thrones. Then I fell asleep again after he left and dreamed about all my old dogs and now I'm sad. :(

    Morning Shipmates,

Hugs and squishes and handshakes all round. Its been quiet in the fort. So maybe film time this afternoon. A nice non triggering film. And we can all snuggle down.

Code if you fall asleep in the fort you wont snore you know that don't you. How horrible for you. My husband has polyps again but not bad enough for surgery. Dr suggested a nasal rinse kit. Such as this one
it has helped a bit he has started to smell things a little bit.

Can any one tell me why I have a pair of nut crackers in my utensil jar. I don't eat unshelled nuts!!!!!

    Yours
