Hello everyone,
Long time lurker here. I hope you are all well and coping with if not enjoying the demands of the season.
For coming up on 2 1/2 years now I've had a strange side to side movement which has got worse over time. To cut a very long story short, I've had numerous tests, scans etc and they can't find out what it is. they know what it isn't i.e anything serious.
I'm currently being seen by a neurologist and neuro physio. It's labelled a movement disorder for the moment. No meds so far have worked. Basically my brain is over compensating for something and is sending messages to my pelvic area to make these movements.
To say it drives me potty is an understatement. It got to the point 4 weeks ago where I pretty much gave up, couldn't bear it any longer. I ended up in the psych ward for 5 days (voluntarily)
They couldn't help with the nerve thing but at least they did with the not sleeping (the nerve continues 24/7) the GP doesn't like to keep people on sleeping tabs for long as they are addictive.
Has anyone else suffered sleeping issues and how have/are you managing it please/Mortgage free as of 10/02/2015. Every brick and blade of grass belongs to meeeee. :j0 -
Awww spirit that sounds awful! I know there are some people on here who have the restless leg thing - I do myself sometimes, in a minor way, but can't imagine how distressing your condition must be. I do hope you get some peace over Christmas.
A very happy Christmas to everyone on here - here's hoping for a healthy and fulfilling 2020 xxxEx board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -
Happy Christmas all.
spirit, I suffer with insomnia on and off, which is definitely connected with anxiety and I've never had a coping strategy. I went through a period where it was very bad about four years ago and ended up with zopiclone, but I only took three as addicition is not something I want to contend with. They certainly put me to sleep, but left me unable to concentrate the next day and adversely affected my ability to work, which defeated the object anyway.
Since the relapse in February that led to my MS diagnosis I've been tired all the time and haven't suffered with insomnia nearly as badly.Proud member of the wokerati, though I don't eat tofu.Home is where my books are.Solar PV 5.2kWp system, SE facing, >1% shading, installed March 2019.Mortgage free July 20230 -
Hey wonderful people!
Sorry I've not been on for quite some time - life has been very busy. I hope you are all OK and well and happy.
I just wanted to pop in and say I still love you all very much despite not being around as much as I have wanted, and wishing you all the very best for the festive season and the New Year!
Love and light and good wishes,

Glad you get on with your new neighbour she sounds a lot nicer than the last and am sure you can put up with a few parties a year much better than the constant noise you used to have.Have you tried Kalms for your stress?0 -
No matter how you are spending tomorrow I wish you all peace and happiness. For those that celebrate I hope the day is everything you wish it to be, for those not feeling festive or those who are alone I wish you a day of cosy socks, hot chocolate and doing just what you want to do. I will pop on tomorrow to check the thread so if you feel like you need to be heard please do post.

Merry Christmas everyone,
Ono, thanks for your reply. Zopiclone is what they put me on. i am able to sleep with it (calming the nerve movement down) but if I don't take it, the nerve doesn't calm and i don't sleep.
Other than that, Hope everyone has a good day.Mortgage free as of 10/02/2015. Every brick and blade of grass belongs to meeeee. :j0 -
Hello all.
Nothing changes here. I spent Christmas alone and new year will be the same. Today is my husband's birthday and I just want him here to spoil. No-one remembered.
I'm still waiting to see a psychologist, I got a letter before Christmas asking if I still want an appointment.
I wish everyone peaceLost my soulmate so life is empty.

Hugs to you, Torry. I know birthdays are especially painful, but it's very sad that you were alone all over Christmas. ((((())))) I am biting my lips because I don't think it's helpful to you at the moment if I make suggestions, but this post does come with very very best wishes for the new decade. xxxEx board guide.
