Yep, you're right.
My mum is devastated as she was the one who encouraged her to go to the doctors. I however am trying to remain positive and be grateful for every minute which we have together. I'll be sure to make the most of it. It's unfortunate it's sad times like these in which one often realises living is temporary.
Thanks for your kind words TF.0 -
Aw Speky, I'm sorry to read the news about your Gran. Fingers crossed that she doesn't end up waiting that long to see someone. I'm fairly sure they will be able to sort it all out though. A colleague of mine had a stent fitted a couple of years ago and was back at work within a fortnight so I'll hope for something similar...

That's reassuring to read CCL, thanks. I'm trying to remain positive and just enjoying spending time with her - as I always do.
It's been a relatively quiet week and I'm working tomorrow so a week of low spends. Nothing much to report really.
I've got a couple of drinks with work planned tonight but I've got the car so it'll be some softies for me. Plus, I'm working tomorrow so another reason to have a clear head. Really nothing exciting planned.
This week I've tried to be really strict with healthy eating, low carb high fat. I made some healthy cookies last night which were no where near as good as the unhealthy kind but it managed to satisfy my sweet tooth a bit.
Have a lovely weekend everyone.0 -

Morning all,
Despite working on Saturday, I had a fairly relaxed weekend doing bits and bobs. Nothing particular to note really. My mum has booked an apartment in South Spain for end of October, so all I need to do is pay the flights, £96, and save up some spending money. I'd like to pay for everyones dinner one night.
Watching The British Open got me in the mood for golf so I went to the driving range which was nice to just take my time and chill for a bit. Although a bit frustrated since I'm absolutely mince at it, but hey ho.
Been to the gym this morning and I'm playing football tonight. On my lunch I'm going to buy a bin which I seen in Argos as I'm currently using a bin bag on top of my worktop which isn't hygienic. It's my birthday on Wednesday and I've a feeling my mum is going to give me vouchers for Curry's so I'll get some stuff from there no doubt.
Right, need to get this coffee down me. Toodle.0 -
27 today.
Don't feel it. I remember when I was in my teens and I thought by the time I would be 24 I'd have a wife, a home, a nice car and potentially a child. I can tick off 'a home' off the list, the rest is yet to come.
Work bought me a nice hoody, my favourite piece of clothing, and a box of doughnuts, my favourite baked goods. I'm going to my mums tonight for a chinese and a good natter with the family which will be nice.
My gran gave me some money yesterday which, as I promised her, will be tucked away into savings for a rainy day - or my Emergency Fund as it's named in YNAB. What a woman.0 -
Happy birthday Speky! I'm 27 next week, and I'm not where I imagined I'd be either, but everything works out in its own way
(or so they tell me!)
Hope you have a great time with your family0 -
