Hi Speky
You don'y post much because you're all settled and sorted moneywise. You've done so well.
When I think back to when I first started reading your diary you had a different job, a girlfend and still lived at home!
Now it's all changed!! Just shows what can happen when you set your mind to it.
have a great week!0 -
Yeah that's a good point actually Louby.
I started the diary to get out of debt and I wouldn't have known the journey I was about to embark.
Got to thank you, and everyone else, for joining me on the journey.0 -
It's been a fantastic journey to be with you on Speky. It's amazing to see how far you've come and how much has changed.Not giving up

Hey CCL, thank you. And the same actually goes right back to you with your diary
What a lovely little forum here.
Feel like I've not stopped lately. Lots of early morning and trying to be productive. Been that busy I've not had dinner for 2 nights!!! I'll be sure to have it tonight though. On the plus side, it's saving me cash.0 -
G'morning.
I was given a free pizza from Papa John's last night through work. Which means I've not paid/made dinner at all so far this week. I'm also going to my mums for dinner tonight, so that'll be another. And I've got eggs to use up for dinner tomorrow. Saving cash on groceries.
Not got much else to report for now. I'm already planning my weekend and I want it to be productive. The big fight is on which means my evening/Sunday morning will be taken up with that so I need to work around those timelines. Lot's of cleaning on the cards.
Wish it was Friday and I can have a bit of a longer lie so I'll keep myself super busy and hopefully the day passes quicker.0 -
G'morning all,
A weekend which was taken up mostly by "The Fight" which was aired at 5.30am on Sunday morning. Me and 9 of my friends watched it at my house and they all chipped in to cover the cost (£20), so no expense for me. Still trying to catch up on sleep but an early night and a later lie should help.
My only plans for the week ahead are on Friday and Saturday when I get my tattoo finished off (with birthday money) and I host an afternoon tea for my mum and gran. Nothing outwith and I'll be glad to keep costs down.
I had a good week in work last week, sales wise, so I shall hope for the same again although it's made difficult with a bank holiday Monday and also that I'm off on Friday, so only 3 days to sell really. I'll do my best - that's all I can do.
Hope everyone has a super week and enjoys what's left of Autumn.0 -

I think that shows just how tired I am!!
I actually meant Summer as I believe Autumn starts in September, is that right?0 -
G'morning.
Finally feel like I'm back into my routine now and caught up on sleep.
I got a big shop in last night then made home made garam masala curry which was lovely. Finished just in time for GBBO which is the main thing. I'm making a real push now to continue to learn Spanish, but the Duolingo app can only take me so far, I think I need a tutor back again but that comes at a cost.
Been to the gym again this morning and I'm playing football tonight. I'll make chicken and avocado wraps for my dinner when I get home and I'll double check my cupboards are full.
This Saturday I am hosting an afternoon tea for my mum and my gran. Here's what I've got planned;
Sandwiches on a mixture of white and brown bread;
Coronation chicken
Egg mayo
Smoked ham
Cakes;
Strawberry and polenta cupcakes
Coffee and walnut flapjacks
Scones
Plain scones with jam and clotted cream
All served with tea and coffee, of course.
Need to double check the recipes and plan out what I can make on Thursday/Friday.
Anyway, must get on.0 -
Morning,
Checked my coronation chicken recipe and all I need is an onion. I've still some other bits to buy so I'll nip to the big Asda around the corner.
I got paid yesterday and allocated my wage out for the month of September and I seem really quite tight so I'm going to have a serious look at my spends and try to cut back on avoidable costs. I'm spending far too much on groceries a guy living on his own.
Anyway, must get on with things. Toodle-pip.0
