Silver Queen- Haha, very true and normally I'd agree but I'm trying to be a bit healthier. And now I've got strawberry cheesecake, lemon meringue pie and treacle tarts in my kitchen!!0

Oh I love lemon desserts. Silver Queen took the words out of my mouth - I can't think of anything better than more dessert than we need
:D:D
Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

:rotfl: it's just not too good for the waistline.
I still had some left overs in the fridge yesterday so I thought I'd remove temptation and scoff them. I'll be healthier today.
I've been to the gym this morning and I might go tomorrow but I'm more likely going to stay late in work which will rule that out. Little bit of ironing to do but nothing major.
Car Insurance is due for renewal so I'll start my comparisons just now and try and save some pennies. Unfortunately I'm not in a position to pay it off in full and I'm reluctant to take on a credit card to pay for it. Having credit cards and temptation got me into debt a couple of years ago and I don't want to go back. So I'll settle for paying a little bit of interest each month and I can carry on budgeting for it.0 -
I'm aware I've not checked in for a while but not much to report from a financial standpoint really.
I moved into my flat on the 16th May and so I expected various DD's to come out my account on the 16th of June but my council tax and internet hasn't yet, which annoys me from a YNAB point of view.
Aside from that, I don't have much disposable cash. I'm content with staying in, which is just as well because I think that'll be the plan for the next week or so.
I went to my mums last night for dinner and they bought a new coffee machine and my goodness it was good. She said I'll buy you one for your birthday if you'd like (next month) but I politely said I'd rather have the cash.
Anyway, must get on with it. Have a good day.0 -
For the first time in a long time, I'm looking forward to payday, which is next week. I'll get by (thanks to YNAB) but my bank balance is lower than I like.
My internet is still not installed, problem with the line or something, just got a text from Vodafone to say I've used £20 of internet!!!!!! Need to put some pressure on them.
Speaking of pressure, i'll apply that to my solicitors who are due to give me some sort of compensation. I'll do that just now before I forget.
Lastly, thank goodness it's a little bit cooler. Thought I was melting last night.0 -
I am alive. Work and life just taken up much of my time. Mostly work.
On a financial front, I openned up my tins in which I put spare change from nights out into and I've got £375!!! Wowza. So I'll bank that this Saturday. Today signals payday and I've allocated my money for July, slowly getting into a routine of where my spends go with all these bloody bills. I'll survive.
My tyre blew on Sunday, so I was £50 for a new one - needs must I suppose.
Plodding away at work. Had a successful few weeks so I'll push again for my bonus structure to be sorted.
Apart from that, not much to report.
Have a lovely day0 -
Hi Speky. Long time, no chat. Glad to hear things are going relatively well with the new place.0

Hey VF - yes, things are ticking along nicely, thank you.
I need to clean my goldfish bowl this weekend, a chore which I must get used to.
Absolutely shattered from work yesterday so I'll bin the Friday Tidy for a lazy evening I recon.
Found myself getting into a new routine in work. I no longer have the down time in the morning so post as frequently as I'd like, so I might have to take a bit of a back seat unfortunately.
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend0 -
Enjoy your weekend Speky!0
