Morning everyone,
Left work sharpish yesterday and was on the phone to my step-dad for an hour before I had to leave the flat again to get to yoga. Got home afterwards and went straight to my bed.
Spends: £2 yoga (but that doesn't count)

A new years resolution of mine us to go to the gym more consistently in the morning, allowing myself 1 duvet day a month, which I used this morning as I was shattered. Dozed for a couple of hours before getting up and having breakfast for a change. I think I need to leave work pretty sharp again today as I've got a training day with The Reserves. Not too sure what to expect but I'm told it's a classroom environment so shouldn't be too bad.
Just notice that e.on have charged me £150. I recently switched from them to BG and I'm confused as to why this may be? Cancellation charge? Had I been underpaying? Need to phone them0 -
Good morning everyone!
I returned late last night from a 2 day work trip around London. It was pretty manic, running (literally at times) from one meeting to another. So I was thankful to get to my own bed last night and zonk out.
Spends: Lots, but the majority will go on expenses.
NSD: 6
No gym this morning as I needed to catch up on my sleep but I'll go tonight for a bit. There's football on so I'll just sit on the bike and watch that rather than sitting on the couch. An early night tonight as I am back down to London tomorrow to watch football, for work, honest. Can see it far enough if I'm honest.
Right, lots of catching up to do.0 -
Good morning one and all,
My weekend was so busy I didn't really feel like I had one.
My Saturday was spent 'working'. Getting the 6am train back down to London again to meet with clients at a football game. Didn't get home till 9.30pm, so it was a very long day and I was looking forward to my bed.
Spends: Lots but will all go on expenses

But not too much rest as I was back up again early on the Sunday to play football. All went well although the uneven pitch meant I've kicked the ground pretty hard and hurt my ankle. It's just a sprain, so I'll give it a bit of time. I then had all my weeks chores to do in a short space of time before heading down to Chester for date #4. She's actually been really unwell of late so I just went to her flat and we done nothing but just chat for a few hours. Got home last night at around 11.30pm. Knackered!
Spends: £0

So, a normal week ahead for me. No more work trips to London. My ankle will perhaps put a dampner on my gym sessions but I don't want it to stop me. I need to keep moving otherwise it'll seize up. Right. Lots of catching up to do.0 -
Good morning everyone,
Yesterday spends: £0

A later check-in from me as I've just returned from A&E with a fractured ankle. I hurt it at football on Sunday and powered through until I got home last night, when I noticed my ankle was twice in size and my foot was blue. But, as it's only a hairline fracture, I've just to dope up on pills and keep it moving, so the next couple of weeks will be uncomfortable.
Maybe I'm getting too old for all this sport stuff.
So I done very little last night as I sat with the foot up and on ice. I recon tonight will be the same although I am due to attend The Reserves. It's just a classroom style evening, so I still could attend. I'll see how I get on.0 -
So, I know I’m a bit late, but I’ve been meaning to post my new years resolutions. I’ve also decided to split my goals into four quarters, aiming for 1 quarter at a time.
- Read 10 books
- Build Emergency Fund to £1000
- Build my brand
- Record my food intake, aiming for a calorie deficit
- Practice Spanish every day
- Write my business plan
- Reduce coffee intake
- Run a marathon
I'm happy with my list and I do think it's all doable. You may notice a lack of career goals (aside from my business plan) and that's because I truly believe I can't do anything more to help my current role, so I want to focus on everything else to better myself.
As before, I'll check in monthly but each of these goals have smaller more manageable targets of 3 months. So watch this space. I predict a big year with lots of ups and downs.0 -
Good morning,
A relatively boring night for me last night. Popped into the gym after work but even carrying weights about kind of aggravated my ankle, so I had to be careful. I then had a fairly relaxed one before going to bed at about 9 ish. Much needed.

No gym this morning as my body was still screaming out for sleep. I'll maybe go after work, especially as I've no other plans. Need to phone my bank and then E.on to sort out a payment plan, as they billed me £150 when I switched, turns out I had been under paying. Whilst it doesn't leave me short, I'd just rather spread them out, I think.
Ankle is doing ok. Now a lovely shade of plum with the swelling still there. Trying my best not to limp and keep it moving, which feels counterproductive but docs orders and all that.0 -
Good morning,
Happy Friday!
Aside from work, I didn't get up to too much. Quickly went into the gym, home for a call with my gran whilst I made my dinner and then had an hour or so on the xbox before bed.

No gym this morning as - again - I was shattered when I woke, plus my ankle was particularly sore. I head back to Scotland tonight, so I'll go straight after work. Packed some snacks to keep me company. A quiet weekend ahead, so I expect a low spend weekend, with the feet up - literally!0 -
Good morning and happy Monday to you all,
I was back up in Glasgow this weekend to see my step-bro and his daughter now that they've returned to the UK for good. It's been a year since I seen them last so it was amazing to see them and to get play with my niece. Where do they get the energy from!
I returned back home last night, although my journey took me over 5 hours as there were 2 separate crashes on the motorway, one of which, I read this morning, killed a police officer. I've never been one to get frustrated or angry at traffic like that, so I switch the engine off and chill out a bit.
Realised I forgot some bits from my shopping list yesterday, so I need to visit a SM again today, which will scupper my NSD. No yoga tonight given my ankle, which is getting better. The bruising and swelling is much better.
Spends: some, but not a lot
NSD: 12, only on Friday0 -
Good morning chums,
Yesterdays work day centred around talks of me going to Switzerland on a business trip on Wednesday (tomorrow) but the decision was made at around 8pm that for the price, it couldn't be justified. I'm not all that bothered from a personal perspective, as it was going to be a super mad 36 hours and I'm just getting back into a routine. So my evening was spent doings bits and bobs; meal prep, a healthy dinner, providing meter readings, updating my music, reading, washing the bedding, going for a shave and having an early night.
Spends: £9 - forgot to buy some ingredients for my lunches and so also had to buy lunch!
NSD: 12
Up and at em this morning with a good gym session. My ankle has put a stop to many of my extracurricular activities, so my evenings are free for now. I might nip back in after work for some light stretching and the like. Not much else planned.
Arranged to see The Girl From Chester again this Saturday. She's still really under the weather and is waiting on a date for some surgery, so I realise I'm not really seeing the real her as she can't really do much at the moment. I'm seeing this as an opportunity to get to know her better and that'll perhaps make me more confident in deciding how I feel.0 -
