    Good morning chums,

Absolutely roasting already in the office. Uncomfortably so. Sorry to put the picture in your head but I'm literally dripping sweat down my forehead. Surely this can't be legal.

Anyway, yesterday was my typical Monday; yoga after work. I had written my teacher a little thank you note and found a small gift to show my appreciation and she seemed really grateful. She's properly changed my life, physically and mentally, and I felt saying thank you wasn't enough.

I've got a note from the postman to say I've missed a parcel, so I need to leave work sharpish to collect it but aside from that, I've not much planned at all.

Another NSD yesterday taking me up to 13. Today should be 14.

    Morning everyone,

I left work sharpish yesterday. Partly so I could get to the post office in time to collect a parcel and partly due to the sauna that is our office. So then despite being home much earlier than usual, it was still far to warm to do much. So I had a relaxed evening. I then tried to sleep but couldn't stay cool, despite every window wide open. Was then woken with the thunder and lightning, which I love watching.

Fortunately no early rise for the gym this morning but instead I had physio. The update is another 4 weeks of rest, with plenty of stretches to strengthen the muscle in my knee. Not good news at all, as this is my 10th week out of action and I'm desperate to get back fit and into football again.

I work for a start-up, with a very small team, and we're hiring a guy who will be starting next week. We've invited him out for a meal tonight just to bed him in a bit, so I'm looking forward to that, although maybe not the anticipated spend. In the meantime, I'm melting in the office again. Our high glass windows and no air con mean that this is a green house in the sun. Awfully uncomfortable.

Didn't manage my NSD yesterday I was asked to buy milk for the office. Still on 13.

    Stay cool and safe everyone!

    Good morning,

I hope we're all prepared for today's weather, which is anticipated to be one of the hottest in this heatwave.

Yesterday was super warm. Uncomfortably so in our office. We finished at 6 and met with our new colleague for a pizza and a beer. I'm told it's to go on expenses, which would be nice as I think the night cost me about £30-£40 all in. Home around 11ish and straight to bed knackered.

Since my spends should be going on expenses, I'll count it as a NSD, making it 14 for the month.

Gym this morning and I might nip in after work before heading home to watch some of the football tonight. Aside from this excitement, I've no plans.

    Good morning everyone,

Sounding like a broken record but it's still absolutely pipping hot. Actually I'm finding going to the gym is the best place to go as they do have air con!! So I went twice yesterday and I plan to go twice today too.

No spends yesterday took me to 15, so I am on track to break my own record. Unfortunately however, my spend days have been a bit too spendy, so it's not been a particularly good month financially. And to contradict myself 1 more time, it's my birthday today and I opened the cards I got to be grateful to get some checks/cash. So It'll all balance out.

I've no plans this weekend which is absolutely fine by me. Hopefully the weather is similair so that I can actually go out and enjoy it instead of cooking in an office.

    Stay cool and hydrated everyone!

Happy birthday - hopefully you'll see some cooler weather from now on.There's definitely cooler air up here today though it was a sticky night again which doesn't help when you are a woman of a certain age - the weekend looks to be a bit better.

    Good morning,

Thank you for the birthday wishes, very kind.

It was deliberately quiet weekend and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The rain didn't allow for much outdoor fun but I welcomed the cooler temperatures. I tried the local swimming pool for the first time yesterday as it's a type of cardio which doesn't hurt my knee but the facilities weren't up to much and I stupidly went at a time which was bouncing with kids, too.

No NSD's unfortunately, still on 14.

A busy few days ahead. Long day in work today with yoga tonight, tomorrow I'm in London all day and on Wednesday evening, I get the train back to Scotland for a week in Aviemore with the family. So I need to cram in as much work as possible in my 2 days in the office so I can truly switch off.

With that in mind, toodle pip.

    Morning everyone,

Still quite clammy here despite the drizzle of rain.

I was in London yesterday so I left the house at 5.45am and arrived back at 10pm. Knackered. Had to buy some food and drink when I was there, some of it will be on expenses, some won't, so no NSD for me.

No gym this morning due my tiredness from yesterdays activities. Also intend on leaving work early so I can pack my bags for my family trip up north for a week! Can't wait. I'll be offline for the next week and half, relaxing, eating, playing. Living the life of luxury (on a budget).

Oh, and I finished July on 15 NSD's. Poor end to the month but hey-ho.
