There's also random police with speed guns dotted all over the place, and if your in a unfamiliar area, how do you decide the difference between a 30 or 40mph limit if you didn't spot the speed limit sign a mile or so between them? It's still very easily done, even in our area for being 1 mph over as there's no discretion offered in warwickshire0

Op, thanks for the info. Been looking at something similar myself, so will have to look deeper. It's a fair point to raise - signing up for a 3 year deal with a chance that it may be cancelled and you still have to pay for the remainder is a bit much. My dad's been driving for over 45 years and he got his first speeding ticket last year. I've been fortunate to be driving for 25 years and never been caught speeding.0

Lamp posts without 40 repeaters?
Who in Warwickshire do you know who's been prosecuted for 31?0 -

It's 30, unless you can see signs to the contrary.0 -

Yes I often have to drive through Brum , and often struggle to spot any speed limit signs
And I remember warwickshire police putting out a article saying even 1mph over 30 is a offence , will try and find it and post a link.
My brother recieved a speeding notice for doing 32 in a 30 limit on greenmore rd in Nuneaton from a fixed camara, but appealed and won0 -

The car I was looking at for my son was a base model 108 and worked out on the just add fuel for 10k miles over 3 yrs at £204 p/m plus £500 deposit I think. Without insurance it was £130 ish. In the end went with a pre redg renault twingo (65) for £105 p/m no deposit and free gap back to invoice insurance. Frankly from the money he saves on reduced insurance , zero tax , and fuel savings the cost of the car is almost wiped out 😊0 -

Back on topic, rather than getting one of these deals you may be better off with your son getting an older car and realising what they need to do to maintain it and the flexibility to change when they want. I'd assuming after 3 years then they have nothing to put into a new vehicle with these schemes.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -

Well they aren't telling you any lies are they?
Your brother is very naughty, speeding past a school, doesn't he think about the children?0 -
Getting off topic but if you don't know the speed limit then you shouldn't really be driving.

If the signs aren't there. Then they're very hard to spot.
Insurance company's absolutely slaughter young drivers on older cars.
The car has a future value , which you can either pay , walk way, or use towards a new one0 -
