Hi
Just using my Nexus 6p after my old note 3
I don't get notifications when I've received an email... I check the chrome browser on the phone which is up to date...but the email application a) doesn't buzz b) takes over 15 min for new email to show..
How can I change it to get vibrate alerts in real time please

I've received 6 emails in 2 hours which haven't shown up...even when refreshed0

What does the browser have to do with this? Do you not have a dedicated app for e-mails?
In the app for each e-mail account there have to be settings for notifications, including something like 'notify for every message'.
Also, in general Settings >> Accounts you should be able to change "Synch frequency" for each account.
That said, it's odd that even the browser doesn't show emails and even after refreshing.0 -
What email app is it?
If it is not a built in one then make sure that you update the app from the play store.

It's been an issue for at least the last 4 months. I have to say that for the last couple of weeks (since getting an update to Gmail) my notifications have been better, but many people are still complaining. You can read this thread but it's mainly complaints with very little response from Google in it.

And I'd already updated to 15min sync and no joy. And suorised the 15min is the shortest option.0 -

So I'm not the only one. It's a bit poor. The phone cost a lot but pointless if a basic features of email requires a browser.0 -

So it's the GMail app, and it's an issue specific to the Nexus 6P phone. Wait for it to be fixed is about your only option!0

I can't find an option to sync every 15 mins on my gmail app. It is either sync'd or not.
Is it a red M icon identical to this?
If so have you been to the play store to make sure that it is updated?
I thought that they had fixed the gmail update problem a while back in one of the updates to it. (edit: after reading the reviews it may be that the version on the 1st march brought a couple of problems to some devices (v6.0.115979076))“Time is intended to be spent, not saved” - Alfred Wainwright0
