• Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one and happy birthday to TA. You are as old as you feel, some days I feel 100!!!

It's a fine day, sun is out, pity I have no more washing. DD2 messaged me last night, she and my ex are bringing the freezer over sometime today. They are going to ring when they leave Corby, so I know roughly when to expect them. Need to get a baking of scones in the oven.

Nothing else planned, a quiet day.

I,ve got some washing to do, will change our bed etc apart from that, not a lot.

Tonight we,re having Saultimbocca with new pots, asparagus and advacado salad, with Lemon posset and HM shortbread biscuits.

Scampi has discovered how to open the stairgate! He clamped his jaws around one of the vertical bars, lifted it then pushed the gate open. He just stood there looking at me. I thought it was just chance so I put him back where he was and closed the gate – he did it again. He hasn't worked out how to open it from the other side yet (he'll have to pull, not push) but I don't thing it'll take him long :D

My tomato pots have tiny seedings :T No sign of life from the cucumber seeds but they take a bit longer, I expect they'll appear in about a week.
The weather is much nicer today, hopefully the garden will dry out a bit. We've sorted all the pots and bamboo canes, they're lined up neatly along the freshly creosoted fence – it's so nice to say that, it feels like progress is being made :D The two compost bins have been emptied onto the main part of the veg patch, the other bit has garlic and onions growing at the moment so that'll have to wait for now. We've flattened the end in the corner, we need to put a base down for another greenhouse – second-hand, perfect condition, £50. The tricky part will be getting the frame round the side of the house in one piece, we took the last one apart and it was a nightmare trying to put it back together again.

I've just realised you can spend M&S gift cards online, I thought it was in-store only. I have £41 to spend so will be looking around their website today.

Good morning and a very happy birthday to TA! Have a wonderful day and it sounds as though you will.

I am covered in Voltarol, which autogetitwrong wants to spell as voltage.

Wasing about to go outside, another load about to go in, have to get through as much of it as possible as will be working away part of next week. Why does nobody help I hear you ask, because they are idle gits. And not properly trained.

This won't buy the baby a new bonnet, better get wiggling.

TA happy birthday.

I don't have any plans for today. I may try a bit of baking - I found a recipe for soda bread, so I may give that a go.
• Good morning everyone,

:bdaycake::bdaycake:Happy Birthday TA, it sounds like you will have a wonderful day, enjoy it, and treasure the memories.

It's a bit overcast at the moment, but promising to brighten up soon I hope. I have 2 loads of washing to hang out in a moment and then some more to go in.

I need to do a meal plan and make a shopping list, won't be long though as a bit tight this week!

Going to have a clean through and will change our bed and clean up. I may have another play with my steam mop as well.

I think I need a to write myself a to do list.:D

Not sure what to make for dinner tonight, I think I will make a quorn chicken curry.

Well I'd better get started, just having a cup of tea first.

Have a good day everyone, hugs to all. x.

Well no freezer today. Ex phoned me just after 9am to say that he could not get the key because the person, who has no right to have it, had gone up to Bradford!! I am fuming. My grand daughter knew her Grandad was going over today, why did she not get the key back? the silly child has ruined 3 peoples weekend.

Decided to wash one of my quilts as it was a fine day, so its on the line, I may well have to put it over the airer tonight. Have also made scones and brownies. Going to sit down for a bit now.

Tru, I had a red setter who discovered that by sitting close to the door and batting the handle with her paw, the door opened. I soon put a stop to that after she decided to sleep on our bed and went up stairs, down the landing over the carpet and onto the bed with muddy paws!! I changed the handles round so you had to lift them up, not press them down.
• Hi all. Thank you all for your birthday wishes. I am sat here stuffing in cocoa dusted raspberry and salted toffee truffles and they are SO good!!

I have no plans for growing old gracefully! Far from it, life is for living and growing older even more disgracefully!!. In my mind I am still the teenager going on the coach every Saturday night to the Imperial Ballroom in Nelson, dancing the night away to the top acts of the day! You name them we saw them! The Kinks, Spencer Davies, Eden Kane, The Animals, Long John Baldry, Four Pennies and lots lots more! With my beehive hairstyle, false eyelashes and Mary Quant style dresses I felt the height of fashion! I might be a stone heavier these days but, thanks to Schwartzkopf, my hair is still the same colour!!

Enjoy the rest of the day folks as I am sure I will! xx
