Manuals for android phone.
Just bought a Xiaomi Mi4.
No manual at purchase. The guy said just look it up on the internet.
Well I did but can't find anything from Xiaomi and the Android stuff doesn't give the basics or the Xiaomi has different buttons or things are named differently.
Can anyone suggest a site which explains the basics of android phones???
And if I reset to factory settings I know I'll loose whateverI've inputed, no problem there but will it make things easier now that I've got a little bit more idea what I'm doing, first thing I did when I got the phone was update to MUI 7 from 6 and I wonder if the version 6 might be easier for me.

It's your money. Except if it's the governments.

'Sorry, Xiaomi MI4 User Manual PDF not Officially available yet / Not available'

What is it your wanting to know ?
Ive never had instructions with an Android based phone yet.
Its learn on the fly.0 -
The basics are supposed to be fairly intuitive, and you can then google for specific questions. Really it shouldn't be that far off basic android in terms of finding the settings you are looking to though.
Can I ask what you've been used to previously?
Just try to enjoy using it and seeing what things do, rather than worrying about knowing everything all at once.0 -
You dont actually need a manual for android, the home button does everything pretty much the rest is just whatever apps you install0

Likewise i have never seen a manual for the OS . Phone model yes.

Intuitive!!!
What does that mean.
This is the first mobile phone I've had in nearly 30 years. It's your money. Except if it's the governments.0 -
ask any 12 year old0

Intuitive as in if you want to go to the home screen you press the home button, which is a house, if you want to make a phone call you press the phone, if you want to see messages you press the message button.
I appreciate though that maybe the concept of a home screen etc is not intuitive to everyone.
Does something like this help?
http://forums.androidcentral.com/general-help-how/399060-guide-getting-started-android-updated-2015-lollipop.html
Also if you find it easier you could install something like this from the play store. Which would give you more of a stock android experience and may help you relate to the guides better.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.l.launcher&hl=en
But you'll soon work out that it's all just android dressed up a bit differently and I assure you you will quickly realise what we mean by intuitive.
If it helps I am constantly telling my mum and dad just to press buttons and see what happens. You aren't going to break anything.0
