Help! House Repossessed!

Have you and solicitor spoken to mortgage company? Were they actually aware that exchange was so close? I cannot see why they would not have waited a few more days given they have waited 8 months but maybe there is other information you haven't given. I don't know what mortgage company you are dealing with but they don't repossess just like that. There has to be a court order so has all this been done or have they just started repossession proceedings.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. There is more that the op has not mentioned. A sale dragging on for 8 months, sounds fishy."It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

More likely is just that they want it sold, rather than allowing the OP's transaction to drag on for months longer (and possibly fall apart).
Very true, just seems if they truely were on the verge of contract exchange, and the bank had a solicitor on the phone confirming this (as part of getting agreement the charge would be removed) then they'd go ahead.0 -

OP, you have done your best, just go brankrupt again and start from scratch, as you will probably wont be left with anything if the sale does go through but I wish you all the luck.0
