Hi
Just got off the phone to Easyjet!
Basically, my flight from Manchester to Copnehagen was cancelled last Friday, due to snow earlier in the day.
I have been offered either a refund or a new flight. However, they are looking for the difference in price for a new flight. According to their website, I can book a new flight for free?!:

I cannot see anything in their T&C's regarding fees for flights cancelled by them.
Can anyone confirm who is correct?>

In a nutshell what does that mean?0

That the thing though.
Im not looking for compensation especially, that link says I can change flights for free, it doesnt mention paying any increases.0 -

Your flight was cancelled, this means you have the absolute rights as detailed in Article 8, which includes re-routing, and that means no extra charges.
Did you get a formal notice of cancellation? has your booking been updated as cancelled?Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
I received a text, then if I login I can either request a refund or book ew flights.
However, it only appears to let me book a new flight one way (presumably due to cost), when I rang they said I had to pay the difference.
I spoke to a manager, who said they couldnt be expected to include everything in their T&C's(!). I just asked him to point out where I couldnt change my flight for no cost and he couldnt.0 -
If you have booked MAN-CPH-MAN with one booking reference, do you need to change CPH-MAN sector as well?Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

Yeah, it states online that both legs were cancelled, though only one was. It was booked under one reference.
I am (maybe rather cheekily) looking for a new flight in August. It is £40.00 more than the original, but my argument is that putting me on the next available would have lost them more money, plus the cost of a hotel0 -
Sounds like you want to be re-routed as " re-routing, under comparable transport conditions, to your final destination at a later date at your convenience, subject to availability of seats."
and they are saying that the seats are not available at that price.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
So does that basically mean they are correct?0

May not be worth arguing over £40 for.
I'd pay the £40, look forward to the trip in August, contact https://www.bottonline.co.uk to see if they can do the compensation.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0
