Meteor crater doesn't get that good a review.

I decided not to visit last time we were there

To give your Mrs some R$R then take the kids on the Deuce bus as during the night it's a lot easier to get on board.
Take it to Downtown to see the lights and 'Old' Vegas'
The other end of the stop is actually near a shopping Mall.

I hired through auto-europe from Hertz and there was no out of state drop-off charge.

They tow Jeeps behind their RV's out there!!

By the way on that note about 'should I get the car delivered to the hotel or go and pick it up', I'd pick it up.

Last time we hired a car they were perfectly happy for us to choose which one we wanted in our class. You won't get this choice if you just take whatever arrives at the hotel, and to me that's worth the price of a cab ride to get it.

Think we'd booked an intermediate , but they hadn't any left so we got a free upgrade. Turned out to be a Jeep

hmmm, Jeep, I wouldn't be too happy with that particular one, although an SRT-8 Jeep would be quite acceptable :rotfl:

My FiL is one of them :j
As for the hire car, my old friends at Airline Network are coming out well ATM.

That sounds like the best option for me. I'm quite picky about my hire car.

  • We stayed at Ballys (on the strip) last year for a few days. I rented a car from, I think, USRENTACAR.CO.UK which gives you the option of picking up the car from quite a few different hotels. I know when I was searching that a few companies did this.

They are currently the best priced renter for a luxury class car (just need to confirm the one way hire milarkey), plus, they'll let me pay a deposit now, with the rest to follow later.
Some want all the money now

You and your big powerful cars  :p

Don't suppose you've got the time or be near enough , but we paid a visit to Calico Ghost Town last year which I think MTK might like.

I'm not sure if it is this town, but if it isn't the InLaws (:rotfl::rotfl:Outlaws) want to take us to a Ghost Town similar to this one for a trip out that includes a shootout..

  • Just been catching up on your trip MTC and it is looking fabulous!!

I am so please you are going to get down to Sedona - it really is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen (and having done the Grand Canyon from all angles and many of the other National Parks around this area that really is saying something).

Just another push for the Pink Jeep Tours http://www.pinkjeep.com/

We did the 'Broken Arrow' tour which is probably a little hairy for MTK2 but MTK1 would love it! Some of the other tours may be more suitable for a 15mo though (the off roading on broken arrow had the 2 kids in our jeep bouncing around like beans giggling their heads off!)
The tours aren't cheap but well worth it IMHO!

Is Sedona more beautiful than Yosemite? Yosemite is in my top 5 most beautiful places , but if Sedona is even better I will put it on my list of must see places for future hols.

Another vote for Pink Jeep tours from me. We did the Red Rock Canyon tour from LV. Excellent tour guide :T
