I'm off to LA on 26th of this month and have 5 nights there and 7 nights in Vegas, one night at the Grand Canyon and 5 nights in San Diego. Thanks for all this information it is really helpful. We are thinking of doing Universal Studios for one day in LA and perhaps Disney too but it gets quite expensive as there are four of us and the children will be counted as adults. Where did you get the tickets from?
Also, in San Diego was it cheaper to buy the tickets for the Zoo and Sea World on the day or in advance?0 -

Universal Studios we ordered online in advance and printed at home. We got the front of line pass so we got priority seating at shows and skipped straight to the front of the queues. The queues weren't too bad so we could of got a normal pass but it really came in handy for the shows.
Disney was $69 for one park or $94 for both. We didn't have much time so just got the one park which we paid for when we arrived at disney.
For Seaworld/San Diego Zoo/San Diego Wild Animal Park we got a 7 day ticket for all 3 parks for $115 dollars, again booked online and print at home. You have to order at the place where your going first. San Diego Zoo, Seaworld and Universal do various combinations of tickets so might be best checking the various sights and working out what works best for you.0 -

We got our universal tickets from http://www.universalstudioshollywood.com and just printed them in the UK. There isn't any need to get them exchange before entering the park however you do need to get the special pass once your in the park at the information centre. You get to be special and have a neck pass on so you can skip the queues and your seating is reserved so you don't need to arrive hours before.0 -

I don't know how you managed to go to work today, we got back Thursday evening and are still feeling a bit out of it. Last night we were up until 3.00 am as were unable to sleep.
We were away for three weeks and spent 5 nights in LA (Buena Park) 2 nights in Cambria, 2 nights Vegas, 1 night Grand Canyon, 5 nights back in Vegas and a further 5 nights in San Diego. Had an amazing time, our favourite area was probably Cambria.0
