we where overpaid by just over £4k in 2003 . Went on maternity leave as I had my second baby. took us 2 years to pay and got into a financial mess. Had to put it on a credit card and still paying back, never again.
Anyway, haven';t heard anything. Hope so, then again we are not that lucky with having any money back to us.
Also our post is slow these days.:A Tomorrow's just another day - keep smiling0 -

Well we just got a letter out of the blue today from TC:
"When looking at our records we gave noticed that you have recieved more tax credits than you were entitled to because of a change of circumstances. However, because that change of circumstances happened some time ago, and we have not previously asked you to repay this money, we are not going to ask you to repay it now. This does not affect any overpayment we have already asked you to pay back"
Doesn't say when the overpayment occured, or how much, but at least they're not asking us for anything back. I wonder if this is as a result of the mistakes mentioned at the start of this thread?Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

I have had 9 letters in 2 weeks from them, all stating different things. The whole situation seems to be ludicrous! I've phoned 3 times and they have told me something different every time. If they don't know what it's all about, how are we supposed to?0
