    Morning all

It's lovely and sunny and not at all windy out this morning :D

I have yet another interview this morning  I've had a few in the last few weeks that I thought had gone really well but I've still not been offered the job so my confidence for this one is not very high :(

Oh well the weekend has gone and we are nearly to the next weekend- my decision and crossroads in life is now a reality
My dear DIL is going back to work on Friday after her maternity leave- how the time flies do you remember last year when I was looking for a wheel for my 40 year old silver cross pram? since finding one the pram has been used at an 85th birthday, a wedding and GS christening as well as usual shopping trips-:)
..well I/we were asked if we could help out with baby sitting as child care is so expensive in London, we thought long and hard and said yes, which was really a very difficult decision.
    I know it shouldn't have been but...they live over 100 miles away:eek:
Therefore I handed my notice in at work and I will be travelling to and from London every week staying from sunday and returning home on Wednesday.
I love my family but I also love my job:) I had in my own mind of leaving or possibly leaving in October when I will have been in the same job for 30 years. - community nursing auxiliary- as well as in the past a marie curie nurse, as well as doing B&B when my children were young as well as when the local coffee shop opened my friend who owns that and the garden center and the shop I worked there 1 day a week making cakes, scones pastries etc. so I have always been busy working. but community nursing has been my life and I shed a tear everytime I say goodbye to a patient let alone talk about leaving. I leave with no nhs pension as when I started work I needed the money and couldn't afford to pay anything out :( and no state pension until im 66 so several years to go yet.:( Gosh things we do for our children!!!
..So that is my crossroad...I will be harder up but I will have the privilege of spending time with number 2 grandson:)
    and im terrified .....
I don't like motorway driving at the best of times let alone driving by myself to London tomorrow:eek:
Then Friday 1st babysitting stint- he is 10 months old and a mummys boy and he screams if she is not around so a set of ear plugs must go on my shopping list:D
DH coming down Friday and then going back Sunday where as I stay on and drive back Wednesday for my last 2 shifts at work next Thursday and Friday then back to London again on sunday.!!
So the evenings with all you elite are hopefully going to be my salvation:A:A

I haven't a lot of time but couldn't read and run hillbilly:)

What a life changing decision you've made! Probably one you will look back on and wonder why you ever doubted or hesitated. Getting to know your grandson better will be fabulous.....he will soon get used to you being around and you will soon get used to the driving.

The sad bit is leaving the job you love and no wonder that terrifies you.......you are being so selfless putting your family before yourself......I applaud you and wish you all the luck in the world:T

Good morning all, a bit damp out there.

Hillbern, you make me realise how lucky I am to have the grandkids living 4 miles away, I admire your decision and hope you enjoy your new vocation.

VT, that is an incredible picture, but then most of yours are. It reminds me I need to source a picture for our room, I want a sea scene. I have decided to find one and not tell OH, if I mention to him I am looking for something it all becomes so convoluted.

Good luck for your interview QoC, maybe you will be more relaxed for this one :)

I'm sure the coke offer has been empty for the last week, however today the page now looks like we would want it to and there is every chance that it will glitch instore http://groceries.asda.com/promotion/meal-deal/ls87142

I would normally test, then post results, but unfortunately am stuck at work for most of the day. If anyone does care to test the coke, be careful with the flavours as it will be A v W this time and W don't stock as many flavours as the other supermarkets.

This populated for me about an hour ago but has now gone back to how it has been all week, so will need to be checked in store to see if it is now going through till with mb.

It is however showing mb on .com so anyone else that is on new T&C and is seeing mb on .com, it should glitch.

Now the coke is still playing silly !!!!!!s for me.

The mb is showing and being taken off on a.com for me.

Now if there is no mb in store, I'm wondering how this would work out for those of you on the new system where you pay the online price.

Would you pay the mb price and then it compare at mb or full price on apg?

This morning the coke that's meant to be on mb but isn't in store, was showing mb on line for me briefly.

I noticed I was on the new A's T&C for deliveries so I put in an order to see what would happen.

I was charged 2for£2 for the cokes and the apg compared them full price.

So it looks like there is a new kind of glitch for those with accounts on the new T&C. :D

    Bumping for day shift.

    Good morning all....

Very lovely to see that VT has produced yet again...and has shared her lovely work with us.
I think we all have favourites....so every now and again I vote that VT brings back a few of the oldies for us to enjoy.

Good luck with the interview today QoC.

Not too sure I will hang around much today so I hope it goes fabulously for you tomorrow Di.....x
