Hth 😀
Such wise words Perky x
Rose I hope you do indeed resolve the issues with your boss this afternoon and hopefully yesterday can be put down to a bad day at the office.
It' s really difficult to advise on what's the best path forward but Perky sums up a generational thing that perhaps your daughter has yet to encounter. That being its far easier to walk away and start afresh at 30...less so at 50 and perhaps its a case of grin and bear it if you are in a bracket above that age....not that it's right to grin and bear but if you can't afford to walk away,or you risk losing a pension as a result of walking then it becomes a case of each day counting them down until you find something or are in a position to up sticks.
I know there are a lot in a similar situations and of a certain age who would love to just say ...it and walk away but actually there is a financial tie that binds them to work or the fear that after a certain age the possibilities of readjustment become fewer.
I hope its resolved one way or another to your satisfaction later.frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

Anyone done any egg shops today, or is it all over?
I had to do a muggle shop for easter eggs earlier but can't check until just after 4 if anything glitched, I got twirl, mars and something else, don't know if they were glitching - did try to have a quick check on here this morning, but too far out of the loop and got caught up reading about nerf's little one's poos :rotfl:
 afternoon all, hope all is well, I have been lurking in another part of the forum  trying to find new ways of sorting out the debts. I have come to the realisation that there isn't much in life I want, but I would really like to own my own house one day. It's difficult to imagine when I rent and have loads of debts, but if I don't do it soon I will be too old to take on a mortgage and I have seen so many people on here do amazingly well with their finances, so I'm going to try my best (though the muggle shopping isn't going to help!). It's tough when you're in the thick of it abailey54 but it is do-able. 10 years ago I had £55,000 of unsecured debt and took out a 100% mortgage. We then went through the recession, I split with my partner and sold the house for negligible profit and battled through but 10 years on I'm debt free other than the mortgage much lower LTV and in turn a better rate) and have a little money saved for the unexpected. There is lots of good advice on threads here; without them I would have been bankrupt and once the mind-change to becoming debt free kicks in as it appears to have done you will find it a positive mission to achieve :-) good luckI had to do a muggle shop for easter eggs earlier but can't check until just after 4 if anything glitched, I got twirl, mars and something else, don't know if they were glitching - did try to have a quick check on here this morning, but too far out of the loop and got caught up reading about nerf's little one's poos :rotfl:

Simon will be right Bubbs I was only doing rough figures in my head
But does anyone remember which was the best way to buy the Coke
I saw a post yesterday or day before where I think it was being bought in sainsbury for a brand match and coupons were taking the full price off
Did I dream this or can anyone else remember this

Bubbs, hope you are ok, and that you have a peaceful weekend. x
Tweets, things can only get better. x
Rose, there's better advice already been given than I could offer, but good luck and hope things work out. x
Been to DD's to wait for builder who was 90 mins later than his arrival time - must be something in the air today. Anyhow, all sorted and I am free again and at home. So cold today, only 8 degrees here in NW and very dull with no sun seen since last weekend  - it feels like a long time now.“All shall be well, and all shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well.”0
