SP Apple Sauce (280g) should be N/A across the board, including vs S. At 40p it was the best price per unit Apple Sauce I found, including better than Aldi, although A SP has now increased by a penny to 41p. Which now technically makes the M Savers 185g product the best price per unit so I'm now moving the product from buying in A to buying in M. However, the difference is only slight - and works out at about 0.2p per A SP-size jar. They noticed they were underpriced and had to increase by 1p to make them nearly the same price as elsewhere (on weight) - although, actually, they are now, very very slightly, worse. (The A SP product was on the M list, as an N/A filler, but not crossed out - waiting for me to check it properly. I have now done so, and it is now changed over.)0

Savoy Cabbage is currently N/A against W only:
1x ASDA Grower's Selection Savoy Cabbage (EACH) £0.29 N/A
Careful though - there is Savoy Cabbage on w.com at 80p. We will have to keep checking every day to see that the APG doesn't start picking up the W item and suddenly change (I am sure they will keep buying it). This is one where the APG would have given a small voucher against M but the addition of the Savoy Cabbage means A comes out 13p cheaper than the 10% cheaper price so, entirely with that, the APG gives nothing.
I already have a Savoy Cabbage anyway so didn't need one and switched my shop of yesterday to targetting M instead of W as I thought vs M would be more worthwhile for what I wanted at this stage.0 -
Cooking Bacon, at 60p each, is currently N/A against M. M is really 81p but I think they are variable weight in some Ms so are not comparing. I did not want to put this onto the list and risk it picking up some M price that is a bit higher than A's. At the moment, however:
2x Asda SmartPrice ASDA Butcher's Selection Cooking Bacon (500G) £1.20 N/A
It's also N/A vs Sains:j and vs W. Avoid T comp.0 -
Got one with a voucher, but not as good as it could have been with A £2.58 cheaper:(. They should never have an APG shop on which A is cheaper! (Why would anyone ever do such a shop, as it is inevitably inefficient from the customer's POV?)
The voucher is against M as it comes out 2p APG better than T.
Starts off with this:
1x Capri Sun Orange Juice Drink (10X200) £2.00 £2.96
Wrong Capri Sun:(. (Capri Sun 5 pack, as long as not the Tropical version, should compare against M at £1 at the time this shop was checked although I suspect that will change unfavourably soon.)
2.31x Asda SmartPrice ASDA Butcher's Selection British Chicken Leg Quarters (Typically 1 kg) (PER KG) £5.44 £5.42
Not a good price per unit for us, but good there.
1x Regina Blitz XL Kitchen Rolls (3 ROLL) £3.00 N/A
Correct - M do not have 3 roll (as far as I know).
1x Soreen The Original Malt Loaf (190G) £0.50 N/A
I don't think they have it, sadly, at the moment.
They've lost for me again on this by getting A mbuy:(:
1x ASDA Chosen by You Pepperoni Feast Thin & Crispy Pizza 10in (293G) £2.00 £2.60
Very expensive pricing for pizza in my view!
Useless getting A mbuy again (no need as could buy just one and have same £1.50 each price for M so the extra one is unnecessary and simply cuts the APG):
2x Butterkist Butter Microwave Popcorn (210G) £3.00 £3.00
V. expensive. I'd expect less than 50p cost for that amount:rotfl:.
And then it continues with this:
1x Lenor Fabric Conditioner Spring Awakening 44 Washes (1.1LTR) £1.75 £1.74
No harm for me, but, again, "low" A price (that's v.expensive like everywhere as price for 85 should be £3 maximum, therefore about £1.50 for these and even £1 is too much nowadays for me:rotfl:) vs not much difference to M.
1x Chilli Heatwave Tortilla Chips (200G) £1.00 £1.00
Same price vs same price (:( given that it's just 10p) and it's what makes T slightly worse overall:
1x Chilli Heatwave Tortilla Chips (200G) £1.00 £1.99
Without it, T voucher would have been a lot better than the one I got vs M:(.
1x ASDA Chosen by You Meat Feast Stonebaked Pizza 10in (351G) £2.00 N/A
Thank goodness they didn't cut it even more!
In short, could have been a lot better.0 -
We could do with a glitch coming along on these:
Vs T
1x Seabrooks Crinkle Cut Sea Salted Potato Crisps (6X25G) £1.00 £0.85
1x Seabrooks Crinkle Cut Beefy Flavour Potato Crisps (6X25G) £1.00 £0.85
Pretty hopeless £1 at present.
V.expensive Watermelon! Paid for at £3 each!:eek::eek:
2x ASDA Grower's Selection Watermelon (EACH) £6.00 £5.00
All to no avail as M comp. comes out 'best' overall so that comp. (vs T) is irrelevant.
And other comps. (vs S and W) are just no good, not even any good items on there, so I am moving on!!0 -
For anyone that finds it useful (at 23:00 yesterday)0

I think whoever managed to buy the Finish 56 tablets for 20p was very lucky. I haven't found them anywhere at present. Probably a bit like me finding the Quaker Warm & Crunchy at 50p in one M. However, I have only been in 7 As, over the days, to look for the dishwasher tablets. They will probably turn up in the 66th A I check:rotfl:. Tell you what though, I would rather have the box of dishwasher tablets for 20p than some Quaker Warm & Crunchy for 50p.
I may start on the M list or I may go for now. As regards my new posting, see you later - bye!:wave:0 -
MB on toiletries have disappeared for me again so will need checking in the morning before and after 6am. Fingers crossed they are glitching again.N1LDA0

The Napolina Pizza Base mix is off in M too. As are the Fray Bentos tinned pies - they've gone to their more expensive mbuy and I'm beginning to move over to the Princes Pies now as they are now on £1. I wonder why they do this, as anyone shopping in M can simply switch to whichever is £1 and not pay the higher pricing. However, I suspect this is done for those who habitually buy the same brand each time and don't even see the shelf immediately below (or above) with the other brand that are now £1. People who just stick to the same brand may hit an offer sometimes, but end up paying higher price or full price at times - which is presumably what the stores want. I also forget that people generally don't see the world the way I do - nowadays I am aware of this but in the past I didn't even know there was any other way in which things could be seen and, even now, I have no idea of how other people would see it, but presumably people are busy and have a few seconds, if that, to choose a product and, despite the fact that I always see the entire shelf and immediately the £1 item, I suspect most people somehow don't (it is a mystery to me!) and, in a rush, some will see 2 for £3 or whatever and buy those at that price.
I used three Ms for the price collection just now - I was hoping to get away with two but even two stores couldn't resolve the price on some items for me. I still have one item now where I'm not satisfied about the price I've seen and the third store turned out not to have the item at all. Other than that, my price collection will be totally inadequate:rotfl::rotfl: as, in the third store, I was picking up additional RTC items (not of the store-specific RTC shelf variety but ones that will be available elsewhere) and I suspect there are further such items that I have not got in any of these three stores that would be found elsewhere!
Remember the 'strange' £1.32 and any 2 for £1 pricing on the Princes juices of some time back? That same offer is now back on in M, leading me again to suspect there may be some deal with Princes for M to be shifting them in dual quantities. Note that I almost missed this offer, as the items were not items about which I had any query from my first store and there was no mbuy showing in my first store at all. I just happened to take a swift turn into the aisle where the Princes were, and then noticed them at the other end and it had me hurriedly taking down the details of the flavours:rotfl:. After that - and the offer was showing in my third store - I ended up with a full walk of my third store (I normally only do the first one, on a price collection day, that way) as I still couldn't be confident I had picked up all the offers - and, even then, it will just be whatever was in that store. I have got all that I could!
I think I need to start the price collection in a different store. I won't be able to manage that on Wednesday as there are other things they (people at my home!) want to do again on that day:mad:(:rotfl:) so will have to stick to my nearest stores - if I manage two of them - but I think a 'change of scenery':D for me on Monday next week, if I do a collection on that day, will be a good thing.
More importantly though, the toiletries! EDIT: Just had a look - yes, the Herbal Essences mbuy is gone for me too. That is good news, if they are still 2 for £4. Vs M, it might work even if the prices update. I have full price on the Herbal Essences in one M:(, however I have £2 offer labels on with "until 3rd April" on just the all-important Naked Daily Clean Shampoo and Naked Daily Clean Conditioner:D (all the others in M showing full price) in my other Ms. It may be thank goodness M has decided to leave just the ones that are good for us on offer! The Dry Shampoo is also on £2 until 3rd April, although that one is also vs £2 for Sains.
It was an academic thing that I checked them yesterday, as I thought they would be over - but I am glad if this is coming into practical use.0 -
I'm just crossing things out on my M list, without even bothering to look at msm or m.com. Now, if the prices showing in my Ms are incorrect...:rotfl:0
