I was quite taken aback by Aldis lack of interest in this.

Hmm. Maybe the member of staff rather than the business but, if so, make it more of interest by escalating it upwards or by starting legal procedures. If they are not interested, maybe they will be when it reaches the court:rotfl:. Or, at any rate, the adverse publicity (is there any such thing?) for them - not just here, posting on this thread itself has already done this - we are all immediate worldwide publishers these days - especially over the lengths had to be gone over a "trivial" pack of chips. The orange bits are edible? If so, might it mean the product is not faulty and therefore you don't have the right to reject it:eek::think:? Why are Aldi apparently not concerned? Maybe the local newspapers are the place to tell this story to (depends if you want publicity like that). Or else Environmental Health should be able to shed light on what the strange bits are.

Seeing that I was nearly going to reply to this post
Its just like having sex with Tesco.
In, out, in, out, in, out, in, out, in, out, in, out, in, out, settle down with a pie.

Dont forget the vouchers are for £3.75, and the pies £3.50, so pick up something else to use the 25p over.

with a similar reply to yours and you've now drawn it (the OP) to my attention for me to do so - aren't we so liberal about sex these days? - I may as well link to what it reminded me of. Enjoy!

I did go and listen to a so-called 'clean' version of this at some point - just out of interest (as usual!) as to what they censor - and I think it just takes a single word out (which we know of anyway, so it hardly takes it out) and isn't the word you'd think. So that the "clean" song is hardly clean (even the 'clean' version isn't an appropriate one for children (depending on their age)) - parents may assume that something described as "clean" is appropriate when it is not. I think they only take one word out because they concentrate on swearing rather than other words and actual content. In any event, when you take a (fairly innocent) word out, you then end up with blanked material that suggests and puts in your (my?) mind something far 'worse' - it actually makes "clean" versions sound as if they are more explicit. If anything, I am sometimes 'surprised' (although I never am) that the so-called "explicit" versions (the "clean" ones are explicit enough) turn out to be so much less severe than what I thought they might have meant. I do not understand how they are, supposedly, sanitised when they create a more strong version (that reinforces the swearing by its theoretical absence from the soundtrack). To me, "sanitise" means to create something that is less severe rather than the opposite that happens.

I say the 'clean' versions often suggest - if not the original words - something 'worse' than what was originally said but I put "worse" in quotes as, objectively (or maybe I am not being objective as I'm taking the following view?), nothing is better nor worse than anything else.

If you were to blank the word "penis", trust me, I'd think it was a 'more severe' word for the same thing:rotfl::rotfl::naughty:. (That may or may not make me uncomfortable depending on where I was listening/whom with etc. I would have no problems with the word "penis", which is not swearing, but I would, potentially, with blank material that suggested something 'worse' - and which would be of something that is, sometimes, potentially problematic for me - it seems because of the social conditioning that I experienced in relation to some words, by my parents and teachers mainly, in my childhood. Swearwords are more funny though, in other circumstances (and people will disagree, which proves my point - precisely what is funny to one person is offensive to another and vice versa).) I think, with the word "penis" intact in this song - some intact penises:D - the song is hilarious. In fact, it is just what is said in total that makes the song funny for me, what it's going on about. (Some will think it is the usual macho boasting and will find it less than funny for that reason! It's all subjective!)

EDIT: In fact I think there is a swear in that song, which I hardly notice. Trust me I would notice it if I had picked the clean version instead. (Or so-called "clean" as I don't accept that widely used description.) That's what they blank, to make stand out, in the "clean" version - whilst all the rest of the lyrics throughout are completely intact and are clean?!? Obviously, with just the F-word removed, the song is completely clean and totally and completely suitable for children of all ages:rotfl:. Meanwhile, the F-word is clear and comes to mind from the 'clean' version so, in that sense, that version doesn't work or do anything other than to reinforce and put the word more firmly in the mind anyway. (The issue I have is over the 'clean' version, which I haven't even linked to in the first place, which, besides not being clean due to the other lyrics which they don't blank in it... etc. etc.)

Anyway, I'll get on with the new Morries list:rotfl:.

    Hiya  how's it going?
Thanks di. Being so ill after my surgeries was definitely a good kickstart to the diet, although I wouldn't recommend it as a great way of losing weight. :o

Determined to carry on, want to make the most of what the consultant has offered me.

    Hello
As well as can be expected:o funeral not till next week:(
Was so shattered last night , think its the mental tiredness too, fell asleep in chair about 8 i think:o woke up made the pack up, went bed was in bed by 9.20, hubby had already gone, didnt wake me as said i was fast asleep:eek:

The mental tiredness is the worse. I still get that at work, which is why I find it so exhausting. Its the constant having to concentrate, use your brain etc. I find it far worse than the physical tiredness, which isn't nearly such a big thing for me any more. With all the mental support you're having to give your sister, as well as just trying to function yourself I'm not surprised you're exhausted. :(

Got stung a little on these as they come up N/A vs everyone.

Air Wick Essential Oil Infusions Candle - Pink Sweet Pea

6x Air Wick Essential Oils Infusion Pink Sweet Pea (EACH) £23.88 N/A

It seems to be mislabled as 'Yorkshire Dales' on T website :(

No glitch, not RTC, I just knew stock was down to 3. Ended up getting 3 at full price with no APG :rotfl:

I forgot - I was in poundland earlier buying some party poppers and the SA noticed that the bag had split and there were a few missing. I hadn't noticed and before I'd even constructed my next sentence in my head, she was knocking 25p off :T

If not a glitch, go to CS at HQ as it is clearly the same product. Yorkshire Dales is Sweet Pea (just like Peak District is Woodlands & Golden Nectar and Lake District is Mulled Wine & Berry*), but the system won't be able to know this from the product name used by T.

It's not "mislabelled", as such - it's just a different labelling by T. (A "mislabelling" would, to me, be a labelling that wasn't correct. Which this isn't incorrect - but this is me going into pedantry over words again. Mislabelling - one l or two? It looks like two ls - and an online dictionary http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/mislabel comes up with that as being "especially British" - so that is neither right nor wrong and is a correct usage (of two ls) too. This website, when editing this post, is underlining the use of "mislabelling", suggesting it is an incorrect spelling but, therefore, appears to be an American-based spell checker. It's incorrect to apply that here in the UK therefore! It is mislabelling the word "mislabelling" - what is the world coming to?:rotfl:)

*Trust me, I know all of these by now, due to constantly checking them for Morries list and always traditionally having struggled to remember what is what on a line like this.
