M & S 'Mother's Day' Flowers

My mum would be ashamed of me if she knew I had spoken to someone the way the OP did.
I've never had problems with M&S Flowers before either.0 -

Well if your happy to be spoken to like how the OP spoke to customer service rep because they left this so late, better still would you like them to speak to your mother like than, no didnt think so, But if it makes you feel oh so high and mighty to slate me, go ahead .. there better now
And of course distance should be no issue. I find it really great that everyone in the whole world lives in simple visiting distance of their mother and has their own car. And since the government passed that law that says no-one with a mother needs to work on Mothering Sunday, there's no excuse.
I wouldn't know my parents live in a different continent to me, i still made the effort to send card and presents that arrived earlier in the week, and a phone call today Exactly as my mother asked.
You genuinely have no clue about anything, do you? OHHHH do you feel big and clever now :T:T:T:T:T
If you want to take my post and be literal about it go ahead.
Not everyone can visit their mother on mothers day, most make the effort to arrange something in good time not leaving it to the last minute and expect the company to drop every order and just concentrate on theirs.
I take it by your erm response and the OP didn't come back that perhaps the OP is YOU.
Seriously your a bit over dramatic with your post don't you think0 -

So first you say "If you wanted to get your Mother flowers you should of gone to a florist yourself and taken them to her yourself, distance should not be an issue, its Mothers day not your day."
Then you admit that you didn't visit your own mother.
But it's OK for you to have a go at the OP because your post shouldn't be taken literally? What is it then, a metaphor for the human condition?
And to top it off, you accuse me of being the OP. That's a novel twist on asking if someone works for the company!0 -
I think M&S handled it really well.
Free flowers and a £10 voucher, despite the delay being out of their control.
You ordered a couple of days before (so quite short notice), M&S dispatched in time, and their courier let them down.
Sh*t happens.
If y mget that worked up about things not being delivered on time at a busy time of year, then I suggest your order well in advance in future.
Ps - if you do not want the £10 M&S voucher, then PM me the code and I will have itShould've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
At least the OP thought about Mother's Day before the actual day.
Unlike three men (not together) came into my work five minutes before shop closing and grabbed the first card, flowers etc they saw.
My ex did this when he was with me. The card he picked up for his mum said 'Happy Mother's Day Wife':rotfl::rotfl:This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Pity the OP let herself down by behaving so badly to someone who is probably on minimum wage and who tried their best to help.0 -
So you got a full refund, your mum got her flowers and you got a £10 gift card.
I can only assume you posted this as praise rather than a vent or warning, since M&S clearly went above and beyond to find a solution for you, despite how rude you were to their staff member.0 -
I can't believe the inflated sense of entitlement of the OP.
Why should someone from a store be tasked with delivering flowers bought from another florist?
A little courtesy would have received the same result (and without the "threat" of social media)0 -

Because they entered into a contract to deliver flowers on a specific day.0 -
